In the early part of the season, I wouldn't call it luck - I'd call it climate. ;)

Yep, but I was more thinking weather looks fine on Thursday and Friday if the game was played then. Suddenly on Saturday it is either in the teens with a minus wind chill, or a torrential downpour...

No, I was there and judging by the shirts on people's backs, a huge portion of that crowd was there for the nose. Just like bigger than normal crowds have showed up over the years for Beckham and other visiting stars. These discussions about "will the Revs build a stadium in Boston" or "if they stay at Gillette, how can they raise their average attendance by a significant amount" have been rehashed so many times over the last 10 years. It is just painful at this point to engage in it again.

Would love to hear Jonathan's response to the question of all the players who "boycott" playing on the Gillette turf. Maybe he sees it as a competitive advantage? ;)

    New stadium better be grass

I vaguely recall that within the last two years we installed the top of the line fieldturf, only to downgrade it months later. Am I remembering this properly, or just another bad revs dream? :)

Kraft is a businessman trying to make money, but at least he wants people to come to Revs games.

Precourt is driving fans away so he can justify moving to Austin, which is despicable. No contest.

Kraft is Beelzebub to Precourt's Satan. True, that makes us Piggy in the Lord of the Flies, but as Kupp would surely tell us yet again: "Hey, it could be worse! Ya gotta compare ! "

I drove by there every day for years on the way to work in Cambridge. That would be awesome if they could dodge the massive NIMBY hurdle.

Revs lose another summer game, and drop well below the playoff line. Fans start calling for heads to roll. Next day stadium rumors leak. Anyone find it odd that Quinlan specifically states that its the Revs that acquired the land, and not Kraft. I'm not sure how these business entities work exactly, but it would be the Krafts acquiring the land really. I feel like the @nerevs was used solely to stir up more conversation by linking it to them directly,

To be fair, the stadium rumor leak dropped around minute 30 of the game.

No. You think Kraft is going to buy the land from his personal account? Any purchase will be made by a corporation created by Kraft for that purpose.

It's about two clicks east of Nahant. The lobster is superbly fresh there.

I was joking with someone in the FO about how I made the trip so I could cry looking at a new stadium. The response "You might be able to stop crying soon." When I asked what soon meant, the person walked away. I took nothing from it, till I read Tom's tweet.

Interesting thought I ran across somewhere on the internet today...

Jorge Mas said the Revs were building a stadium right next to or right near the Boston Garden. If you know Boston, you know that's ridiculous. But what if Mas got his wires crossed, but is right about the Revs becoming neighbors with the Bruins and Celtics? Both teams just opened new practice facilities at Boston Landing in... Brighton.

Is there a site in or around Boston Landing that could house a stadium? Is Beacon Park Yard considered "close" to Boston Landing?
