Bottom of the article mentions both the Dempsey "training" spell with Feyenoord, Gus reportnig it to be two weeks, while Pat Noonan is off to train with Chelsea.

Good to see Franchino is taking a page out of Manny Ramirez's book and not of Nomar Garciaparra's.

He's in a tough spot. He's paid a lot > $85,000 for an average MLS defender and is coming off 2 surgeries. He may not be picked up in the draft and may end up back with the Revs at a reduced rate. I believe his wife is from Foxborough so he has some family ties there.

No, I think Gordon Sumner, Stuart Copeland and Sting are from somewhere in the London area

It's interesting that Dempsey, Noonan, Eddie Johnson and maybe even a couple of others? are trainign with teams abroad right now. Seems to be some kind of league-wide new policy to allow and encourage this to happen. I remember Jamil Walker did it last year as well. Kind of scares me that Noonan, Dempsey and Twellman all have been linked with clubs across the pond so far this off season, but it's certainly interesting none the less.

I wonder how attached he is to the area. His wife is local, but SLC and LA are much closer to Joey's home.
