I'm not convinced he's the solution, unless he improves significantly in a short space of time.

Brutal. We're like 3 years too late addressing this position. And absolutely nothing in the system coming to help any time soon. Maybe Marvin, but that's a waste of talent.

We really are gonna suffer at the RB position for a while aren't we?

Was afraid of what I’d see in this thread when I saw it bumped.

When his name isn’t mentioned much, it’s because he’s doing most things right and it goes unnoticed. Glad to see him on a streak of good health

Any mistake in a game and some fans are ready to sell, and that goes for a few players on our squad, we are spoilt, we have some extraordinary players who are all human and will at times make mistakes but overall, are quite consistent at a high level, and most other teams fans would welcome them with open arms, i think the more nuanced fans here know who the passengers on our team are and who are great players that will at times make mistakes

Will Dani go down as the best RB in Real Madrid history? Prior to the late 90’s I can’t think of any noticeable name to play the RB position for us, and Dani is better than any other RB post late 90’s we’ve had.

Chendo is our most famous RB until Carva came along I guess. Carva is world class and has 4 CLs so should easily be our best RB in history. Salgado was pretty good from 99-03, but pretty short peak and huge decline since.

Yes forgot about Chendo, of course! His domestic success is legendary.

Salgado still my favorite, he was great at his peak, and he was till pretty cool and useful even in his decline.

I didn't like him when he was declining. He was a liability on defence.

But when he was in his prime, he was the perfect fullback. Good in attack and very solid defensively.

Best in the world when healthy and in ‘normal’ Dani form not even when on hot form.

If he stays injury free from now till the end of the season I’d be amazed though.

Pintus has done a fairly good job with him, if you take away the the times he’s been out because of COVID it’s not been so bad.

The sad thing is he's been injured for some of the CL finals.
