trap v bilic, should be good. heart goes for ireland but head with croatia, will prullly be a draw. both sides have too much to lose and therefore neither will lose i think.

Olic is out for Euros..Kalinic called to replace him..I don't think Olic was going to start but still losing him hurts as he has a knack for scoring in big games and nobody works harder then Ivica Olic..

Losing Olic is a massive blow, who will start up front for Croatia? Jelavic?

Jelavic i presume is going to start as he is in great form although he has never really performed all that well for the national team..Although Olic has not played all that much for Bayern this season he has scored big goals for Croatia in the last few years..Losing him is a blow but i think we have enough depth in strikers..Eduardo and Mandzukic are both capable of filling his shoes..

Modric i believe is the key man in this match..He needs to play like he did in the first half of the season not the second half of the season where his form dropped..

Yeah Modric is most definitely the danger man, if he is on form its going to be hard for us to stop him, he needs to be man-marked

It's important for Ireland not to lose, It would be a big uphill battle for the rest of the tournement if they did lose. Will be tough for Ireland but Ireland are hard to be under trap so who knows.

while all eyes are on the game between the big guns tonight, this is the one I actually think could be the better game.. Italy & Spain may cancel each other out, whereas this game could be an all out let's go for it affair. The winner only needs to draw their next two game and has a great chance to go through... interested to see how this one may play out...

I think we will see a clear Croatian victory, and they'll run over Ireland like a bullettrain. As much as I love the irish and...especially their beer, I just can't see how they have a chance in hell. Croatia is underrated, and will even go through from the group

Here we go, I am just hoping it is as entertaining a game as Spain-Italy.

Poor Shay Given... always stuck behind terrible defenders who can't make a decision.

Nice set piece and header from Ireland. Nice to see they didn't lose confidence and close up.

Is anyone else hearing a referee whistle after every free kick? Its happened 3 times now, and the players seem to be reacting to it. Happened on the Irish goal, on one of the corner kicks (it confused the commentators too) for Croatia, and just now.

Really nice save by Given, that would have been the goal of the tournament so far.

yeah that was wierd, I thought initially there was a whistle for a foul in the box as it seemed to go in that split second between when the FK was taken, and when the goal was scored but then I saw the celebrations and realized I was wrong. Anyhoo, maybe it's just a technical glitch - afterall, the speed of light does travel faster than the speed of sound. :geek:

Ha, actually the announcers just talked about it. It must be someone really near a mic in the stands. Its pretty wild because I've never seen players react that strongly to it. I think the Croatians all paused thinking it was a foul. Crazy.
