The Red Stars get a point on the road and Chicago Fire get a point on the road.

Why no roster with numbers on the wps websites? Who is number 23 for Chicago? Thanks.

Great job by our goalkeeper. I thought Christiane really hustled once she got in there. What can you say about Tarpley's world class strike-brilliant.

I wonder if Wagenfuhr will be in uniform next Sunday due to Frida getting a red card.

I did not even think about that. The red card was questionable in my opinion.

MRAD, any help with who number 23 is? For awhile I thought it was Wags, they both move around the same, if that makes any sense.

Superb job by the ladies to hold it down for over 20 minutes after Frida was sent off.

Yes they did, but losing Ostberg for the opener is a big loss. She is just tough as nails, but IMO she should have been more carefully with one yellow already. But it's hard to hold back to players like her that paly with that kind of intensity.

But only if they're biased for your team. Otherwise, they're annoying and can cause you to throw remotes at your TV.

Sayeth the Norway fan who's limited to U.S. broadcasts for big tourneys.

Yeah, I especially loved when she asked Jonsson to let Wambach's headball go into the net because it would "make the highlight reels".

I'm sure Emma would understand, right?

Just a nitpick, but you all should at least spell the name of one of your best players correctly - there's no "h" in Cristiane.

What's the proper way to pronounce Cristiane? I thought the female commentator put her own spin on a few of the other names lol

That female commentator was driving me crazy with her non-stop talking, she acted like an excited child the whole game. I hope that Jenn Hildreth will be back next week. Next to this woman, she looks like the world's best commentator.

Oh my, yes! With a few exceptions, this was a tedious, tiresome, listless, uninspired, lackluster game... It looked like two top 20 (not top 10) D1 college teams thrashing it out...

When national commentators oooh and ahhh over this kind of uninspired soccer, they do a disservice to the sport and the players. They ought be commentators, not apologists and boosters!

What's with all the "color"? -- its because they aren't good enought to "call" the game. Good commentators could be on the radio-- you can "see" the game through their comments, and they remark on things viewers can't see, like nice runs off the ball and off camera... These guys may know a bit about the game, but they have a lot to learn about how to make it zip for an audience, and come on! be honest with the viewer, sub-par play is just that... call a weak game for what it is. Most of these players are capable of much better outings than what they showed tonight.

On a more positive note, nice game (I thought) by Dalmy and Tarpley. Big energy by Cristiane and I wonder she wasn't in sooner-- maybe would have had more impact? Excellent showing by Jonsson. Overall, good result for Chicago. DC has some major problems.

I liked this announcer more than the previous lady. Though, I really feel sorry for Mark R.

Tarpley is one of my favorite players from the WNT. Nice strike. I particularly liked her half time interview (must have been a cool wind blowing through)! :)

Based upon the games so far, these 2 teams might be the 2 weakest teams.
