I did attend Oxford, albeit briefly, and albeit at a college there known more for its finely manicured lawns than its academics. But I did technically attend. The comma is quite welcome.
Can't be red and white at same time; I'd argue the phrase should have no comma at all and just make the nouns apposite. My search had the example of something similar: "The apartment had bugs, big brown cockroaches!" Notice how big and brown are not separated by a comma. "Red White and Blaugrana" - That has some pizzazz to it. No tripping over pesky commas, period !
For shipping and handling I'll send you copy of this book, my research on the YA forum's most notorious sock puppets and a mail-in ballot for the November election. We gotta vote for politicians who will stack the courts with opponents of the Oxford comma and other forms of fraud, waste and abuse.
Sometimes posting in YA feels like living in a dry county when you want a drink. My opinion is that it would be safer for everyone if we could just have a place to drink here at home. Sort of a USMNT beer garden. It would keep us off the roads and out of that seedy area of Big Soccer we all want to avoid.
Referring to Messi as "The Argentine." Bold move. Have to assume there was some editorializing there.
From the ratings on the same website: "Dest: Came on for his Barcelona debut after signing from Ajax during the week. Filled in at left-back for Alba, who came off injured. In the fifteen minutes he was on the field, he looked quick and ambitious. An exciting talent - 7." https://en.as.com/en/2020/10/04/football/1601847351_964979.html?omnil=resrelart
Guaranteed there's going to be millions of comments about him having that 'Barca DNA' that players only have now if they come from somewhere other than Barca.
Another thing that others must have picked up on, I'm sure, is that Dest has that Barca DNA - unmistakable, really, once you know what to look for.
I noticed that when I saw him in the U20 WC. easy to spot how different his game is compared to the other teammates. He plays with a lot of flair.
Well, especially if they leave La Masia without being recognized as having the DNA, then Barca is dying to bring them back for a lot more than they left for.
15 minutes ain't much but Dest was impressive. Not sure why you have to insinuate McKennie ain’t up to the task at Juve in the Dest thread. McKennie is the Dangerfield of Yanks Abroad it seems.
Rave review of Dest by the porn star named Miguel Rico of Mundo Deportivo: “Impeccable presentation of the American. Calm, secure, as if he had played the position his entire life.”
that's a fantastic (and accurate) review of dest's debut hope he enjoys the praise and continues to do well!
So is it unanimous? Wes’ career at Juventus is essentially over, and Dest will be the Next Big Thing at Barca? Is that settled for at least the next 12 days?
