Red Bull has set up "official" viewing parties for road games. I dont remember them doing this last year. This is a good idea to reach out to the fans, however it should have been done long ago. http://redbullsreader.blogspot.com/2008/03/red-bull-announces-partial-viewing.html The Schedule http://redbull.newyork.mlsnet.com/t107/fans/2008/viewing_parties/ **Edit: Mods can you change it to Red Bulls on the Road. Thank you
Re: Red Bus on the Road Yes yes, what a great idea and about time, i mean if only the fans would have done something like this sooner like organizing away match viewings at a popular pub somewhere.
Re: Red Bus on the Road Yes I know the ESC does away pub viewing all the time. I think RBNY is reaching out to the more casual fans to try to get them involved in some soccer culture
Re: Red Bus on the Road Fine, tell them to come to Stout. I mean there is not a more conveinent pub in NYC to get to that Stout and they have plenty of room and always treat us well. I am kind of surprised they haven't struck a similar deal with them like they have those other pubs on their website. IIRC even going back to Metro days, the team had business relationships with local establishments and often promoted them. I am not complaining though, any effort to get out there and get others involved is fine with me. I just like being condescending.
Re: Red Bus on the Road *condescending sigh* . . . sack, I know you like you're little Stout. It's okay, you and the clubhouse can have your fun at your little bar.
Re: Red Bus on the Road I'm all about Nevada Smith's, best soccer spot in NYC! but I would like to check out the Jersey soccer bars as well...
Re: Red Bus on the Road I'm sure they feel the same way about you...as long as you don't let on your team is not from Great Britain.
Re: Red Bus on the Road These FO people know that the ESC does Stout a lot - you'd think they'd throw a little love this way as well - and maybe they will - after all that's only the first three games (since ESC is pretty static where they do it, I really have no problem with RBNY switching up bars every game watch anyway. Even if one of them is Eurosnob/Latinosnob Central)
Re: Red Bus on the Road Except Jack Keane holds not one, not two, but three season tickets for the Red Bulls. They don't hate us as much as people think.
Re: Red Bus on the Road Nevadas doesn't card in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon, usually at night they do. Just tell em you're there for the Metros game and not the drink.
Re: Red Bus on the Road You should, for it's WHERE FOOTBALL IS RELIGION! That said, I wouldn't watch Red Bull games anywhere else but Stout. Better food there anyway.
Damn. Never thought I'd see a fight over whose swizzle stick is bigger and whose gives Guiness better head on these boards.
