IIRC, I saw Drivin n' Cryin' open for either the Bangles or REM back in the mid 80's. I had no idea they were still around.
A few different things: (On Vinyl. And it's GOT be at least 220 gram Vinyl at that.) Dresden Dolls Very very very very good. I've only listened through it once...but i think i might be fan.
A little bit repetetive at times, but at times it's completely awesome. Very solid. Makes me very excited to be seeing them in November. Hillarious. I was practically on the floor during the "Googlephonics" bit. It's the only Steve Martin Album i hadn't heard...and i was not dissapointed.
My initial reaction is that it is by far the best thing that they have released. Of course...that COULD be just my excitement at having new Cake material to listen to. Mellow. As. Hell.
Ok....here goes. After hearing this album, the list goes something like this: 1) Shatner/Rollins 2) Shatner/Folds 3) Shatner/Mann 4) Shatner/Jackson 5) Lennon/McCartney
the store didn't have this... ...so I'm going to have to order it from amazon or something. i hate having to special order from the CD store because: 1) it takes about 3-4 times as long 2) it doesn't appear in my mailbox
