Another beaut, Nuff...excited to see if some of our fringe players get some time this weekend. Meaning:

    Soldado
    Saviola
    Drenthe
    Baptista
    and how about Torres

Raul deserves a rest, as does RVN and Sneijder. Give me this lineup:

    --Torres---Ramos---Metz---Marcelo
    --------------Gago----------------
    --Higuain-------Robinho---Robben-->>>or Drenthe
    ------Saviola-------Soldado--------

It'll never happen, but I'd like to see these guys get a runout.

Yeah Diarra is back and will most likely start ahead of Gago.

Metzy is injured, luckily Pepe is ready to come back (Ramos could perfectly replace him if needed though).

I just read on Marca that Robinho was a little annoyed for not being a starter against Bremen. Whining again ffs. He has no place on the team right now, I hope to see Higgy or Robben on his place.

Giving a rest to Raul is a good idea but it's very unlikely.

    So...

    Iker
Ramos, Cannavaro, Pepe, Marcelo (yeah, he deserves it)
    Diarra
    Sneijder, Guti, Robben
    Raul, Ruud.

    Another 0-5 guys, please.

My god nuff ! This is probably one of the best threads i've seen from you. I just hope our performance is also as good as this. As per usual a win will do for me. Doesnt have to be 5-0. Although i wouldnt mind raul scoring again. Dare i say HE IS BACK.

Wohoo! Not only will they show it on Swedish TV, but I'm actually free sunday evening!

Guess Marcelo will get to start again, I think he showed signs of being more reliable than Drenthe against Bremen. Diarra's back which I think is good for our defense. Although Gago did good against Bremen he's still not the equal of Diarra. In offense I hope to see Raúl partnered with Baptista or Soldado, they both deserve the chance.

Nothing to say that hasn't already been said about the quality of this thread nuff, top work.

Is there any indication of whether Robben could start?

I don't see Robben starting in this one. Maybe Thursday at home against Betis. Although I do expect some changes in the lineup.

Looks like Gol TV has a full schedule this weekend - including this match. Yeah!

I wouldn't be want to appear too complacent by bringing in massive numbers of reserves. Valladolid is a respectably good team. Also, it's early in the season after some late summer arrivals, I think our first choice team should get some time together. Here's what I would like to see:

    -----------------Castillas----------------
    Ramos-----Canna------Pepe------Marcelo
    -----------------Diarra-------------------
    Higuain-----------Guti-----------Sneijder
    --------------Raul-----------------------
    -------------------Soldado---------------

If we manage to be up 2 goals after the first half, I'd bring in two subs at halftime - probably Robben for Sneijder and Torres for Ramos. In the 60th minute, I'd bring on Robinho for Raul. If we are only up one goal at the half, I'd save two of the substitutions for the 60th minute (unless they are purely tactical in and of themselves (someone looks spent, etc.). If things are tied or we're losing, all bets are off of course and Schuster's got to bring in whoever he thinks will get the job done (Ruud for Soldado maybe?).

I def. think that Ramos, Ruud, and Sneijder might benefit from a little rest after a few weeks of international competition, league action, and the first champions league match, but it's early in the season and I think the team still needs to work on solidifying its chemistry, plus Valladolid isn't an opponent to underestimate.

Also, on an unrelated note: I'm going to be visiting my parents this weekend and they don't have GolTV, just worldsport HD. Arrrgh.

I think the lineup should be:

    Casillas
    S.Ramos Cannavaro Pepe Marcelo
    Diarra
    Robinho Guti Sneijder
    Raul
    Soldado

    Then bring in:
    Robben for Sneijder
    Higuain for Raul
Gago for Diarra (i think gago needs to get some more minutes)

I love to see the Beast, Soldado and Marcelo make an appearance.
With Metzelder injured and likely to miss the match my line up would be
    ------------Casillas----------
    Ramos---Cana---Pepe---Marcelo
    -------------Gago-------------
    -------Guti--------Drenthe-----
    Higuain-----------------Robino
    --Baptista/Soldado/Saviola

robben should make another cameo appearance as he get match fitness
