Oh man that was so good... Anybody have the full wording? The final line was And the best thing about Houston No es Dallas ;D
Part of the Beckham day (I guess) festivities were the two guys that do the Real Men of Genius commercials for Budweiser there at the stadium doing one for the Houston Dynamo fans. Has this happened anywhere else on the nonBeckham tour? Either way it was funny and did show that they did a bit of research into Houston to prepare. I'd love to hear one for Chivas and maybe one for New England. I just can't recreate it all. Oh yeah, and we didn't need the spice girls especially bulky spice but that is an entirely different topic altogether.
It was done at the Houston-LA game prior to the kickoff. It didn't air on radio or anything like that. It was really well done, but unless someone has it recorded, it's hard to remember the exact words, especially since we were busy laughing.
It was pretty funny. It even gave props to the Texian Army and El Batallon. I think the closing was "What's the best part of being in Houston? No es Dallas" or something like that. I'll see if I can get the words to it. Thought it was pretty creative and unlike most of the lame halftime announcements.
Those guys have been on "Lex and Terry" (based out of DFW) a few times, and have thrown together bits for that show. Interesting tidbit: the "singer" is actually a singer, he's the old Survivor lead vocal. They were going for an over the top 80's heavy metal ballad kind of sound, so they figured "why not use the real thing..." Anyways, love to hear it if someone can post it up.
