    Key Players:

Gago will be looking to make an impact as he will probably be starting .

Renan was unlucky to leave Valencia in the summer, he had some great games last season. He has a chance to show his talents against the Galacticos of Real Madrid.

    Injury Report:
I hope some of our less used players get playing time against Xerez. Villareal are the real test this coming Wednesday.

If I was Pellegrini, I would go out with this formation:

    Casillas

    Ramos----Albiol----Garay----Marcelo

    Gago----Lass

    Granero---------Ronaldo

    Benzema----Higuain

Arbeloa could start instead of Ramos, and Raul/RVN instead of Higuain. I think that's it. :)

I'll be satistified with 3+ goals scored and with Iker's clean sheet.

    We'll likely see:
    Casillas
    Ramos----Albiol----Garay----Marcelo
    Gago----Lass
    Granero---------Ronaldo
    Benzema----Higuain
with RvN hopefully seeing some minutes for Higuain, and probably Arbeola entering for Ramos at some point (or viceversa if Arbeola starts). Guti may come in for Cr9 as well at some point to save him some leg time for Villareal.

Guti, Ruud & Ramos on for Ronaldo, Arbeloa and one of our strikers at 60 minutes.

Why is everyone so sure Gago will start. It could be Guti. In fact I think I would rather Guti start. If bad Guti shows up that day, sub Gago in at half, but if good Guti shows up, then great. Good Guti is better than Gago imo.

No one is sure, we're merely discussing who we think should start.

I don't really want to see Ron or Kaka play in this match TBH. Would like to see Pipita start.

Xerez has not won, has not even scored, is one of the teams that ascended to 1st division (after 50+ years), and is arguably the worst team in La liga right now.

Given that Xabi will be out for villareal as well, I would rather see Guti fresh and ready for Villareal, than Gago! If there is one game where Gago can get his jinx out or at least not cause too much harm in his f-ups, is this one... I say let the guy play as long as he wants. :p

Really? In starting line-up with the likes of Ronaldo, Kaka, Higuain, Lass and maybe even Bezenma, Gago is the one you choose as the potential key player?

OT but I actually thought he was pretty decent in the CL last year.

But thanks to the Ref in the Chelsea game, they were never really a man down.

Uh...yeah. If he plays, all those glamorous attacking players will still be relying on the CM to distribute the ball and dictate tempo.

    Touché ;)

So why Lady Gago? He is unable to do those things.
