Sergio Ramos is now 34. He probably can last two or three seasons(although 37 years old might be too old). Most players on the list are over 30 now. They won't last that long. By that time, Casemiro, Dani, Varane, etc will be over 30. They also won't last long as the captain. Marco Asensio is the next "young" player, but his role might be that of a 12th man or "Lucas". I do believe Vincius is up next (assuming Mariano or James won't outlast Ramos). Vinicius is closer to the captaincy than we think.
He isn’t. Not yet. He may love Madrid but will take some time at the club and many significant moments to get to that Madridista status. Plus, I don’t see Vinicius as captain material.
Yes, that's what i'm saying. We paid 40 million for him, he played a couple substitute minutes, has done the by now customary badge kissing, but throwing that "Madridista through and through" badge out there is ridiculous. He's playing for us, that's the relationship.
And it's perfectly ok to be delusional. I would be fine with Vinicius playing through his initial contract with us. Kroos has spent over half a decade in Madrid and nobody would say that he's a Madridista. Those guys are professionals. Then again people were saying all that "he's one of us!" stuff about Achraf last week and now that's all talk of the pasta.
I know common sense is hard to come by but bear with me, Vinicius turned down Barcelona to join us citing that he always wanted Real Madrid, there are even reports that Barca offered more. He is also actively very pro Madrid on Twitter, more so than the vast majority of our players. I never said Achraff was a Madridista so I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Dude that might make him sympathetic but not "Madridista through and through" although some people consider themselves here Madridista through and through and i consider them customers and admirers, which is what most of us are, including myself.
The kid has been with a childhood girlfriend longer than he has been at tue club. The hope is that he grows in his Madrisimo; but only time can tell. At the moment he's simply a kid playing at his favorite European club and hoping to achieve greatness. Anyways, for me it's weird seeing speak of other people even remotely coming close to what Ramos has represented as our captain. That guy stands alone.
I have no idea what Vin is in this sense, nor am I that interested in going too far off topic, but, here we go again, so , I have a question, what makes anyone “Madridista through and through”, I am very interested to find out what the particular parameters are
I wouldn't even entertain such a conversation. I mean we are now getting graded by our level and support yet someone like Bale who could give a shit about the club is defended.
For players, canterano or vocal veteran. People just like to slap the label on every damn player they like a lot, but if we'd suck or hit rough times financially most players would pick up their stuff and leave. This is where we probably have a generational gap between us in age, and i do feel like the core culture and audience of the club is the regional market, but i understand that people 10 or so years younger people grow up in Berlin and support Bayern, grow up in London and support Manchester United etc. We probably grew up differently, and have different views on the matter, as commercialisation hit european football after i became intersted in the sport, it wasn't something that was present when i became interested in it, as such i personally do feel like there is a divide between regional and international fans in terms of influence.
