Beckham & Samuel are out with injuries. Guti & Owen are fighting for that place in the starting 11. Mejia is in disgrace. What ever happened to Jotha? Talk about your short opportunity to make an impression, unless your name is Pavon. Well here is my suggested line-up, even though I am resigned to seeing Pavon start.

    ---------Casillas--------
    Salgado---Helguerra---Arbeloa---R Carlos
    Figo---Guti---Zidane---Raul
    Ronaldo---Owen

Well, they have Wanchope (Malag's top scorer) and Amoroso, they might do some damage with the absence of Samuel and the presentation of Pavon :(, I really hope to see Mehia given this chance.

We should end losing away points,
at Espanyol- L, at Bilbao- L, and at Betis- D.

4 of the 5 goals conceded were at away games!

I hope Owen keeps scoring, fantastic for team perfect for him.

I predict, 2/1 win. Raul, Ronie.
    Vamos Madridista.

Owen is starting on the bench. Celades in for him in the double pivot role with Guti.

Why isn't Owen starting? Is Ronaldo playing lone striker?

    1-0 Real Madrid
Figo hits PK after Zidane is fouled in the box.

Hopefully we can hold the lead, get another goal, etc.

Any additional broadcast feed links? The first link is only providing 34kbps while the second seems to full and I can't connect.

    Thanks

Zidane was brought down outside the box, bad call. Either way 1-0 up and it seems Malaga is just being outplayed. So far with Zidane playing on the left and Celades in, its almost like Malage were suprised by the formation.

Owen has come in, hopefully he'll keep his streak going (hey, it's still going in the league ;) ) and save me from worrying if we'll win or not

The defence hasn't looked all that bad either. Let's see if they can keep it a shut out. ;)

The usual ten minute sub for Morientes. Seriously, when is he going to play more minutes in a 'real' game?

Was Ronie effective at all? They should start Moro and Raul together for at least one game and see how it goes. And Owen is on fire!!

I feel bad for him. :( He deserves a chance, but I can't imagine the dilemma Remon must be going through. You have Owen who, although didn't start, came on to seal the game and Morientes who has just as much skill to do the same, but for some reason isn't being given the same opportunities. Could this be Perez's doing? Does he want to get rid of Moro? Yes, his signing of Owen is working out at the moment, but you never know when he'll go into a slump or God forbid one of the other strikers gets injured. IMHO, Madrid is going to need Moro at some point.
