The 22/23 Real Madrid Season Officially Begins in Helsinki! The Venue: Helsinki Olympic Stadion Squad List: Match Preview: Real Madrid is seeking its 5th UEFA Super Cup. They will play Eintracht Frankfurt for the first time since 1960, a game in which Alfredo Di Stefano scored a hat trick and Puskas scored 4 in a 7-3 rout of the Germans. The winner of the this match will earn 5.5 million euros in prize money. Ancelotti is expected to play the same XI as that of the Champions League Final in which Valverde started in the right wing. Reportedly, Carlo wishes to reward them for qualifying us for this cup rather than make personnel changes. Frankfurt won the Europa League in spectacular fashion to qualify for this cup. Infamously, they successfully completed a comeback in the Camp Nou to eliminate Barca. They also beat the likes of Betis, West Ham, and Rangers to win the cup. HALA MADRID!! LET US START THIS SEASON AS KINGS DO, BY WINNING A TROPHY!!
I'm really excited for the return of competitive football. I'm totally behind Carlo's approach to the lineup, but I hope we get a substantial showing from Tchouameni, as I haven't seen him play an actual game yet (I was gone all pre-season when Madrid was playing in my hometown... argh). Also Camavinga. Because I love him.
Wake up babe Fede Valverde plays the beautiful game today https://t.co/dWuyclhIfv— Fauzan (@FauzIsHere) August 10, 2022 Can’t wait to watch this guy today
Agreed, been overshadowed a bit by the new guys recently but IMO a very important cog in our wheel and a big part of our team moving forward, it's time for the younger guys .........
To me, the biggest question mark this year (non-health related) might be Militao. He went from shaky to imperious and back last year. If he can continue to mature into the Pepe reboot he looked like for stretches, we're really well-positioned. If he continues to go in and out of form, our season has more potential variance.

Would like to see Tchouameni at some point but have a feeling Carlo will reward the players who helped us win the CL meaning Lucas, Nacho, Camavinga, Rodrygo and Ceballos might take up the 5 sub slots
Honestly it would be silly not to give the other two young mids at least 15 minutes run. Same Rodrygo and Rudigier

Mendy got bailed out by Alaba by holding the ball too long then nearly cost us a goal by coughing it up in the midfield.
