We might be incredibly tired from our game at Betis but they too played midweek against Espanyol and were defeated so I think we will record another win here. I think 2 or 3 changes will be made to the team that played against Betis.

    ---------------------------Casillas-------------------------

    Cicinho------------Ramos---------Helguera-------------Carlos

    -------------------Gravesen--------Guti----------------------

    Beckham------------------Zidane-----------------------Robinho

    ---------------------------Baptista----------------------------

I wouldn't be overally suprised to see Soldado and Cassano start and rest Baptista and Robinho. That would be pure guessing but Beckham, ZZ and Carlos will most defintely be recalled.

This would be a perfect lineup with the changes you mentioned, but is Cassano ready to start??? And I think its about time Soldado started.

i hope we get a good glimpse of the becks cicinho partnership again.
cicinho said he find it easy to play with him, and i think its evident in their play
i have been very critical of becks the last few months especially, but has anybody else noticed an improvement in his play, and a change in his style since the arrival of cicinho.
instead of his long ball game he plays cute one-twos with cicinho and has fitted into the system a lot better. i think we are seeing the best of becks now!

Go ahead and give Baptista enough rope to hang himself with, let him start up front. So now one can say, that Real Madrid didn't give The Beast a chance. I still think the guy is bust.

Bring on Cassano in the 2nd half.

exactly!! I posted this on another thread, but Beckham pulled a pick and roll for Cicinho in the last game, their understanding is so good that he's running basketball moves for the kids. THere have been loads less long balls, a lot more nice little flicks, you can see the understanding there. If Beckham is forward and Cicinho breaks past him Becks moves the ball up to Cicinho and moves back to cover the RB, and vice versa. I love it! Becks is going to be back in form for the 2nd half of the season and his partnership with Cicinho is a main reason why.

Baptista really shouldn't start, how many more times are we going to let him d**k around up there? Start Soldado, sub Cassano for him later, let Baptista come on for Zidane if/when he tires out.

I hope Lopez Caro has the sense to sub like mad.
    Rotate people, man.
    Avoid injuries.
    So ends the lesson.

Baptista actually looked pretty good aginst Betis the other day - maybe he's finally on the verge of regaining his form.

agreed, he plays better in midfield than as a lone striker.

i would start cassano and sub him for soldado later. likewise zidane to come off for baptsita :

    ---------------------------Casillas-------------------------

    Cicinho------------Ramos---------Helguera-------------Carlos

    -------------------Gravesen--------Guti----------------------

    Beckham------------------Zidane-----------------------Robinho

    ---------------------------Cassano----------------------------

Cassano can't start, he gets all red and puffy (a la Effenberg in the good ole days) after like 10 minutes. I'd rather reserve him for later in the 2nd half, when everyone is red and puffy.

Team will be same as started vs Sevilla but with Helguera for Mejia.
    .........................................Casillas.......................................
    Cicinho...............Ramos......................Helguera.............R Carlos
    ........................Gravesen...................Guti.............................
    ..........Beckham....................Zidane................Robinho.............
    ........................................Baptista.......................................

Cassano still lacks match fitness so won't start, Caro said yesterday:-
Roughly: He was different from the others in that he hadn't had the games and hadn't the fitness. He has to continue improving a lot.
Seems to indicate he'll start from the bench.

In other words the team that put in our best performance of the season. :D Before the Sevilla game they had the meanest defence with 14 conceeded and after they went 3rd best with 18 conceeded. Cadiz are much better away from home than at home because they try to shut out teams. However, they are also the worst goal scorers in La Liga and that could really hurt them in such a difficult fixture. We are playing well of late and this is not the time to be playing us. It's at the Bernabeu so I'll be listhening for plenty of Ole's!

You will be listening a lot of noisy Cadiz supporters too. They're already making their presence felt in the city.

Yeah seemed a great atmosphere down in Cadiz and hopefully it'll be the same tonight.
Going out tonight so won't see the game until the morning...hopefully worth the wait.
