With the arrival of Di Maria at PSG, I'd really make a push for Lucas. We need someone who, has the CURRENT ability to be a starer at Real Madrid.

 

This was what I was trying to say a while back, we need some steel in midfield. Perhaps not a destroyer but someone who can get stuck in when needed.

 

I'm personally not a fan of Casemiro and still am not sure why he's at a club of our stature but I'm guessing Benitez sees him as the guy you're describing no?

 

Perhaps but like you I'm not convinced he's what we need

Odegaard is playing good has nice some nice moves .

 

He's working hard running behind the CB and dropped into the left or right mid to pick up the ball , the only service he's getting is long balls from James . Can someone please explain me Bales role???

 

As an AM you've got to be able to play through balls, Bale only sprays the ball to the left. Jese is getting no service, even when Valerenga have a high defence nobody plays that through balls between their cbs and instead waits for them to drop deep to pass it to Marcelo hoping he'd do something with it. Danilo's crosses have been horrendous and that first touch after Modric played him on was embarrassing

 

Exactly ... So why do we keep playing him at AM ???? When we have James and Isco , how's the guy suppose to play through balls when his first touch throws the ball 1-2 meters away .

 

Bale has been very lively. Quit hating on him to excuse Jese's poor form. Jese did make a couple of good runs to receive the ball but his end product has been bad. A lot of attacks died when the ball was played to him. Too many flicks. He also doesn't press much, especially compared to Bale.

Marcelo and James have been bright. Odegaard is so calm for his age and operates in tight spaces really well. Danilo is good but definitely needs to improve his delivery into the area. Decent showing from everyone but this is low level team and we need to score some goals soon, good ones. I'd also like to see Asencio on soon.

It's a bit worrying that Valerenga were allowed to reach our goal so easily during that one counter attack. I've seen Napoli concede similar goals on the counter, most notably in the Europa League semi-finals last season. Well, I think that was the game, can't remember the opponent.

 

Jesé was a world beater last week. Lmao.

Bale is playing well, it's Jese who is stinking th place up.

Marco Asencio is the real deal soo talented .

 

The new kid on the block Marco Asensio is showing a lot of potential. He possesses good skillset and determination. He seems to always make the right decision when the ball at his feet. It's just weird he actually has higher football IQ than Bale does.

Exactly what I was thinking hha , all the moves and decisions he makes seem to be right . he's alot sharper at picking up the ball and driving it through the middle like a true AM .
