Let's hope he recovers 100% and isn't rushed back.

I think it's time we sack the entire medical staff. I just don't know how we have this many injuries, every single year. I think I read something a few years ago where the major Serie A clubs almost never suffer shit like this on a constant basis and get 2+ additional seasons out of their aging cadre. Don't understand, always something. When Llorente is back, watch someone else get injured. And then Bale will get injured again.

Just think about if Bale's injuries were contagious.

In last night’s game Llorente made 64 attempted passes and completed 59 of them, a 92% completion; 7 recuperations and 10 duels won. Not bad for someone who just returned from a long injury.
According to the RMBS geniuses he was awful though

You’re never right though so you saying this gives me confidence that he’ll be here next season.;)

I was not impressed by him but i wouldn't say he had a bad game but not a good one either. Can you give me the source of those stats?

What part of his game did you find issues with yesterday? I saw him snuff out many counters without help, keeping possession well and connecting well with his teammates.

Stats are from this article on Marca https://www.marca.com/futbol/real-madrid/2019/04/01/5ca146c8ca47410b5e8b45d3.html

Nothing in particular to be honest but as i said i don't think it was an impressive performance. Perhaps it's just that feeling that a trio of Llorente - Isco - Ceballos doesnt' work. I've seen stats on whoscored and they are totally different from the Marca ones, apart from passes.

We can agree that it wasn’t MOTM performance but far far from a bad one, considering he hasn’t played in about 2 months? I posted these stats because I thought it was a bit ridiculous that people were acting as if he had a horrible game.

What does his whoscored stats say?

We had zero control of the midfield yesterday. Thats not just on Marcos or Isco or Dani individually, but the way they were positioned, which kinda reflects on them and on Zidane.

I honestly thought he played very well. I always forget how fast he can be, but he's got crazy pace at that position.

I thought he distributed the ball side to side well and fast. He also made some good forward runs. 71% possession doesn't happen without good ball distribution from the 6.

I will say that one thing I thought could have been better was defending at the top of the box. On a few occasions, Huesca got the ball down the flank and was able to put a ball in at the top of the box for a long shot that went awry. That is not all on Marcos, but it was certainly a deficiency in the midfield defense.

Nonetheless, the goals were really not on him. Careless errors from Marcelo and Nacho on both goals while Llorente was marking his man.

Low football IQ in comparison to Modric and Kroos.

    Well said.

I thought he was good considering he hasn't played in a while and how little we controlled in midfield. Nothing spectacular but not bad either. People who are frustrated with the team in general will find things to trash a player with.

I agree, that midfield has barely played together in two years and the individual players have barely played this season. Who in their right mind would expect a cohesive unit.

But what a luxury that Zidane has about a ten point cushion and can drop points left and right experimenting without feeling any pressure.

Mentioned this during the game, he's a player I like a lot but yesterday wasn't a good game. The midfield wasn't controlling anything.

And midfield not controlling anything ( whatever that means ) somehow equals Llorente? He had 90+ PA and tons of crucial defensive contribution. Sounds like a good game to me.

The issues were at the back, and lack of forward outlets with comatose Bale and raw Diaz.
