The Italian forum is flustered over the rumor that Ronaldo wants out of Inter and is considering Man United and Real Madrid...does anyone know more about this?

Some German media are reporting it as a probably done deal, as Real Madrid has reportedly taken out insurance on Ronaldo. Other speculation reads, however, that Real is only testing insurance costs. A third report reads that Ronaldo and and Real have reached agreement on all terms, and that it's up to Inter now.

    So, uh...who knows.

Current "reporting" (who knows if it's true)

Inter: "Ronaldo cost 100mil Euros." (note: Figo cost 56, and Zidane cost 66)
Madrid: "Uh, we'll give you 40mil and Makelele."
Inter: "Lemme see...we'll take Makelele and 60mil."

Supposedly Ronaldo's adviser, Alexander Martins, is saying that Ronaldo will only move to Real Madrid, and no other club. The same report also claims that Cuper has picked Vieri as his "number Nine."

My guess, Ronaldo will switch; cost to be determined. (And I won't eat my words if it doesn't happen.)

    Ronaldo arrives in Milan

Ronaldo dodged a crowd of angry Inter Milan fans awaiting his arrival Tuesday from Brazil, slipping off his plane under police escort, to keep them guessing whether he will abandon the club for Real Madrid. About 50 Inter fans convinced by reports that the World Cup winner will barely unpack his bags in Italy before taking off for Spain, were ready to greet him, having posted a large hand-painted sign saying "Ronaldo, Ingrate" (Ronaldo, Ungrateful) outside the arrivals area for his flight from Brazil.

Now I'm willing to bet that the ungrateful little pisshead will join Real Madrid. If I were Inter I'd let him stew on the bench until his contract runs out.

    Ronaldo moving to Real Madrid?

MILAN, Italy -- World Cup star Ronaldo could move from Italian club Internazionale to Spain's Real Madrid this week, his agent said in an interview published Sunday.

"I'm certain that the transfer could be completed in a few days. Inter and Real Madrid already met," Alexandre Martins was quoted as saying by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Internazionale officials have denied that talks with Real Madrid were under way.

Any trade would have to be completed by Aug. 31, the deadline for moves in the Italian League.

Will it affect the team? Short-term? I read in the German media that Raul said it certainly didn't help and might have hurt the team, because the players potentially involved might not digest this too well?

He said that because Morientes is angry at all those rumours involving him as an exchange piece in the Ronaldo affair.
