Unfortunately, this may be the best thing to happen for the Spurs.. focus on the league and try to grap a top 4 spot.. less minutes on those who are healthy keeping them more fresh for PL matches, less travel, less chance of more injuries and hopefully get some of the injured squad members back sooner rather than later...

Nothing we really haven't seen from Spurs this season. Again Mourinho cannot cope with opponents who play a back 3. His formation has been easily overrun by Leipzig. This could be anything.

This is going to be 6 games without a win. I just cannot see us winning enough games to get into the top 5 (top 4 is gone now).

This looks like the first season since 2014-15 where we will have nothing to play for down the stretch.

Last game Spurs won was against Aston Villa (currently 19th in the league) based solely on an awful error by Engels in added time and that was with Son in the lineup.

Eight points behind Chelsea with nine games to go? Even with a fit Kane and Son it would be pushing it, but without those two? Not a chance.

I was just reflecting on how poor this season has been.

We have only won 4 games away (all comps).

From the set of fixtures of Newcastle (H), Brighton (A), Norwich (A), Southampton (A), Watford (H), Watford (A), we have taken a total of 2 points.

We have lost to Colchester United and Norwich on penalties in the domestic cup competitions.

We have lost 15 points from winning positions in the PL.

The other game (Valencia v Atalanta) is being played in an empty stadium. The Italians lead 6-2 on aggregate.

Mukiele is carried off on a stretcher after taking a ball to the face. The young American Tyler Adams comes on.

I wonder what excuse Mourinho will come up with for Sunday's game? He can't complain of a short turnaround as he has done the past few weeks.

Lamela with a naughty challenge on Sabitzer after the play had been blown dead.

Moura with a good run down the left, his pull back finds Dele but his finish is poor and easily saved by the keeper.

Tanganga clears out Upamecano with a great shoulder barge, the Leipzig player makes a meal of it but the ref is not interested.

Atalanta have gone through 8-4 on aggregate vs. Valencia. We might not score 8 goals the rest of the season.
