I am late getting this one up. The forward three, each taken separately. How everyone views this will be different. I consider depth a factor, which drags our ratings down, I think. I do think the starting group is quite good for MLS. But man, our bench? The kids really have to come through, and among those, wherefor art thou o Salloi?

Oh oops I've been rating starting players, not depth. That's gonna skew things.

yup. if it was just starters, then cf and rw are elite, but depth drags us down to average... at best. left wing is poor now, even without factoring depth, assuming that shelton will be the starter over there.

You can rate just starters if you're thinking SKC will make it through 2021 without any major injury issues. This does happen, and when it does, the depth isn't as important. The way I look at our front line is that if Shelton goes down with anything serious, we are screwed. Not just because we don't have a proven (okay, currently proven) backup, but because he is the primary backup for Pulido and Russell. I mean, I suppose Salloi could return to 2018 form, and that would be a moneyball upgrade on Shelton at RW, but even if that happened and then Pulido went out for three weeks with a slight injury, what the hell do we do? I'd also say we're elite at two spots, if we're talking starters, but I knocked one down to average because of depth, and while I do think Shelton is average for left wingers in MLS, I just feel we are too reliant on his health. Of course, if the youngsters come through, we're good.
