    [MS]NBC? Not at all. They actually tried to crush Farrow's reporting on Weinstein. They also quashed an internal report on Lauer, as well as tried to (and did for a while) hide the accusations and payout against him. It goes to the head of the news division. This is why I don't listen/read anything from NBC networks involving sex allegations or sex crimes.

    IIRC, at that time, CBS had a shit head of news as well, or something like that, and the current guy at NBC rises to the levels even above him. I would dare to say the current NBC guy (damn, I'm gonna have to look him up) hates women. Noah Oppenheim, that is the guy, and he took over in 2017.

    The women alleging misconduct against the congressman are former classmates of his at Patrick Henry College in Virginia. Cawthorn attended the private Christian school for a short time in 2016 before dropping out, and it was during that time that the women say he made unwanted advances on them.

    "His MO was to take vulnerable women out on these rides with him in the car, and to make advances," Caitlin Coulter, one of Cawthorn's former classmates, told CNN in an interview.

    Coulter said she was taken on something Cawthorn called a "fun drive," where he asked about her purity ring and her sexual experiences. She says she felt something was off and shut down the conversation.    ​

    You're completely mistaken. No one is freaking out and while he does have the right to an appeal, I still really hope and am fairly confident he'll finish his days behind bars.
    The reason behind the appeal is what caused my reaction: just reeks of desperation (which to be expected, I suppose). But sure why not? Let's just thru all this BS one more time: the facts won't change and as long as the verdict is the same, then it's all good I suppose...
