I am replaying the Mass Effect trilogy (Legendary Edition or whatever it's called). I was considering to make an exception for Baldur's Gate 3 regarding my policy not to buy games on launch until I've read my magazine reviews and waited for three months but I probably won't.
Actually surprised at some of the Steam statistics for this thing, I had never imagined that this would have such broad appeal. Even with the name recognition.
Indeed. These are remarkable sales and concurrent player numbers and the game looks more intruiging than the milquetoast "let's take no risks" Diablo IV.
Problem: you're a Baldur's Gate 3 necromancer, but there aren't any corpses nearby for you to use!Solution: get your strong friend to put a bod in their pocket pic.twitter.com/zL0gIOsnSG— Emma Kent (@GoneEFK) August 9, 2023 LOL! I have to say that this is the kind of stuff that has made the experience very fun (never even occurred to me that you could do this).
Took me a bit of time to figure out Ethel. And that's a boss battle at the very beginning of the game.
Last weekend, you played 1225 years of Baldur’s Gate 3. As we head into the second weekend of launch, we’ve compiled some tasty stats for you to sink your teeth into.Read more in Community Update #23 - Here’s To You: https://t.co/G2nJGeI2iE pic.twitter.com/wFe1AhqyKZ— Larian Studios (@larianstudios) August 11, 2023 Wait, how is Gale the most popular origin character? Made it to the Underdark. Only just arrived there but it looks huge. BTW: Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler Does anyone know if you have to do the Githyanki crèche first? I don't want to lock myself out of that questline by finishing the Underdark region first.
Pretty much yeah. Though apparently it is unprecedented in terms of possible quest lines and variations. The Underdark is still very much in act I of the game.
Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler You can do the underdark region and the creche. You're only locked out if you complete act 2.
Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler It is, but it leads to the beginning of act 2. So does the mountain pass. As long as you don't finish act 2 you can go back and do the creche.

What is the right level for the Underdark BTW? I am only a few hours into that environment but whereas I felt under-powered for a lot of the encounters early on, I feel a bit overpowered since arriving in the Underdark. Or perhaps I haven't run across any of the more dangerous foes yet?
And here I thought we’d been conservative on the amount of explosives - love it! https://t.co/e3qvKskERj— Swen Vincke @where? (@LarAtLarian) August 19, 2023 Vincke has seen the Four Tiefling Barbarians video.
Starfield is now live. I'm about five hours in and enjoying it but still learning a ton of new game mechanics and menus. For me so far, following the main plot line and letting this long runway open up to me has caused me to like the game more. PS I found out Walter Stroud is voiced by the same man who played Quark from Star Trek and I love that.
I finished Starfield this morning, extremely disappointed. Mediocre game that already feels outdated and has all the typical Bethesda game issues albeit a lot more polished. Gonna do the factions and stuff but not really that motivated tbh, maybe down the line when there are more cool mods.
