Can anyone offer any good places to get U.S. nats merchandise (jerseys, shirts, posters, etc...)?

    Thanks!

My girlfriend was looking in a music magazine a couple of days ago and came across this photo.

She accused me of having a secret life as rapper Cee-Lo Green. :)
    The resemblance is kinda scary.

My friends, back home and at all points beyond, I love you all. OK, I know that sounds corny, but I had to say it.

I was very lucky tonight, driving home from work.

The 40-odd-minute drive home from Ballarat was made a bit more eventful by the fact that I got a flat tire just as I turned off the highway to head home.

Damn lucky no one else was on the road at the time.

Who knows what would have happened if the situation was different? In terms of timing, environment, and what-not?

Mind you, I had to wait in the freezing cold for a RACV mobile mechanic to come and change my tire/tyre for me, for upwards of an hour after driving for about 35 minutes on a somewhat icy road resembling the Western Highway, but I didn't care. I am home safe and sound.

"I am not a number... I am a free man!"

It's cool that the series is being broadcast again.

I recently got The Prisoner DVD Megaset (I'm halfway through the series right now). It's the "fan-preferred viewing order" version, which has a somewhat-different from the "originally-broadcast" version - I was hesitant to watch the "fan-preferred viewing order" version at first, but after reading the "Episode Order Debate:" explanations on the back of each DVD case, I now feel much better about it. :)

In case you're wondering, the "fan-preferred viewing order" of episodes is:

    • "Arrival"
    • "Free For All"
    • "Dance of the Dead"
    • "Checkmate"
    • "The Chimes of Big Ben"
    • "A, B, and C"
    • "The General"
    • "The Schizoid Man"
    • "Many Happy Returns"
    • "It's Your Funeral"
    • "A Change Of Mind"
    • "Hammer Into Anvil"
    • "Do Not Forsake Me, Oh My Darling"
    • "Living In Harmony"
    • "The Girl Who Was Death"
    • "Once Upon a Time"
    • "Fall Out"

I can also definitely see how this great series influenced another great series decades later: UPN's short-lived (unfortunately) series Nowhere Man.

    Be seeing you!

    GO EARTHQUAKES!!!

I think BBCA is showing the "preferred" sequence...tonight was the debut of their Friday night classics block (including Roger Moore as "The Saint" and the original "The Avengers")...and tonight's episode was "Arrival".

I've always wanted that boxed set...one of these days, Alice.

According to my TiVo, the following Friday's scheduled episode is "The Chimes of Big Ben", which actually appears #5 on the "preferred-sequence" list but is being broadcast as #2 on BBCA. :(

Get it ASAP! Besides having digitally-remastered versions of all the episodes, the boxed set also includes (as listed on the back of the box):

    • Ultra-rare original footage of the 1966 location shooting, accompanied by commentary with Bernie Williams

    • Bonus Program: The Prisoner Video Companion

    • Rare, Alternate Version of the Episode "The Chimes of Big Ben"

    • Rarely Seen "Foreign File Cabinet" Footage

    • Rarely Seen "Textless" Intro & Outro

    • Original Broadcast Trailers

    • Original Series Promotional Trailer

    • Galleries of Original Production and Promotional Materials

    • Production Stills Galleries

    • Interactive Map of the Village

    • Prisoner Trivia

    • Interactive Menus

    • Scene Selection

    Be seeing you!

    Some whinging

I'm really sick of the Fire Ki... (I'm not writing it all!) thread and I thought about saying that there, but that just keeps the thread up top, so I thought to myself, "I know! I'll just go and whine in RandomJibberish and then that will bump the other thread down, and maybe, just maybe, that other thread (I won't write it again) will begin to die a slow death and end up three pages deep soon enough.

Look at our injury situation! It's one thing to have as many injuries as we do, but to have almost all of them be our defenders!?! It's just depressing. I think the team has actually played really well considering, and at times (like against Columbus) we looked GREAT but just didn't manage to score.

The ball will start bouncing our way soon - I just hope that it's soon enough and that Dallas and Colorado start to struggle...

    More random stuff...

Japan is hot and humid -- and I hate the humidity!

I went to Seattle today...and I got sunburnt! Yeah, like by the sun! Holy heck!

It was tons of fun. But I have to say that Safeco creaps me out big time! It looks like a giant alien ship is sitting on top of it waiting to suck up the people inside the stadium. It's creapy!

    But Seattle is gorgeous!

Ohmygod you guys are such a bunch of geeks posting photos of the Prisoner! But while you're at it, could you tell me what the substantial difference is between the two sequences? I recall from watching this on PBS back in the dark ages that there was a definite continuation of story line from episode to episode, with a point at which Number 6 got the upper hand. How has that changed?

Looks like I'll have to program Tivo to catch the Prisoner. Some of those episodes were classics. The writing was so damned good. I mean, not that I was geeky enough to ever have watched every single episode. Um, more than once. Er, more than a few times. OK, I'm a geek. More photos, please.

And the Avengers? If I didn't know how Diana Riggs had aged, I'd watch it and rekindle the flaming love affair we had way back in the '70's when that show was on reruns in the US.
