From wjarrettc: Sounds like he's headed to HB Køge. This is the same team he was supposed to go to last year but the deal fell through. This time though is much better as they are just being promoted into the Danish Superliga. http://www.hbkoge.dk
Updating this thread: Barbara to Vancouver [EDIT: it's looking this way, but is it official?] Watson to Vancouver Knighton to Vancouver Josh Gardner from Columbus to Montreal in the 2012 expansion draft
Although not a RH Alum, Coach Rennie just got Sebastian Le Toux from the Union. He is a USL Alum and will bring another strong offensive weapon to Vancouver.
Floyd Franks at Vancouver Etienne signing is still pending-Vancouver Sun reports that he is a trialist but is close to having contract
Quality player. Saw him at Wakemed (SAS) back in the day. There was some talk of him moving to England in January. Guess that did not work out.
It's now official, Barbara is a Whitecap: (video) http://www.whitecapsfc.com/news/2012/02/attacking-options
Jonny Steele to RSL?!?! http://www.realsaltlake.com/players/jonny-steele I am semi watching the Disney cup game and just heard them say "Jonny Steele"... cool!
Here's a story on Jonny from the Salt Lake Tribune: http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/sports/53675454-77/steele-rsl-indoor-lake.html.csp
Martin Rennie gets 1st MLS win 2-0 over Montreal and Matt Watson delivers a great cross after he came in for the last 10-15 min of game. Etienne is signed but still rehabbing injury
It's obviously far too early days for us to go proclaiming such the unsung Whitecap, but when has that ever stopped us?! If I was forced to place a bet on who it might be, you have to feel that Jun Marques Davidson could be taking that accolade come the end of the season. It was a performance that won him the first 'Man of the Match' award of the season and Martin Rennie acknowledged Davidson's contribution in his post-game press conference: "He won 'Man of the Match' and I think he was justified in that selection. He's very good on the ball. He controls the tempo of the game and he also wins headers and wins tackles.I was very pleased to see him perform to that level. But of course, I've seen him play and I believe he's a guy who could be a very good player for this club." Rennie knows Davidson well, having had him for a year in Carolina, before the midfielder decided to go back and ply his trade in Japan. ATFN
I know he was on loan to Charlotte last year but Salieu Bundu officially signed with the Battery today. He has been on here since the Carolina Challenge Cup http://www.charlestonbattery.com/news.asp?y=2012&page=1&id=692
Thanks for posting the article about Brad. He is a great guy. During the 1st meet and greet after he joined the team he was the one greeting everyone and making us feel welcome. You could sure see a difference in the team defensively once he left. He was definitely an impact player.
Impact Player! That's funny. Steele got some playing time with RSL. He played well until he made one unfortunate cross too long at the end of the game.
Congrats to Jonny Steele for his part in RSL's comeback in PDX last night http://www.mlssoccer.com/video/2012/04/01/goal-steele-ties-it-rsl
