Falcao absolutely devastated the ball and with his left foot: nothing for the keeper to do! I felt he actually should have benefitted from a penalty call in his favor when the Boca keeper took him down a bit later in the first half. Even more encouraging than the goal was the fact that he was a constant threat. The FSC commentator said it right, "Boca didn't know what to do with him."

It looks like he comes into the match with Brasil in terrific form. Here's hoping his magic comes with him.

Agree with you ryu79 on the takedown by Caranta. That should've been another penalty called. Just watched the highlights on "Paso y Paso" and Caranta clearly took him down. Regardless though, he's in great form for River and I hope he plays the same when wearing the Colombian National Team jersey.

higuain is argentinan and not only that holds a french passport making him worth more than Falcao who is colombian sad truth.....

Falcao will go to a small team, biggest team will prob be Valencia or Villareal but he isnt going to barca or Real and if he did he wouldnt start because he is colombian.... but who cares will go to a small team own and then move on to a bigger team.

Higuain cost 30 million because euros aer dumb and think that every argie that is remotely good will be the next messi or maradona....

falcao will leave for about 10 million euros, but do we really want him to leave and lose this amazing form just to say we have him in europe???

and ps Argentinan league is better than the dutch or portugese leagues... only thing better is england, italy, spain and maybe maybe .... germany or france

haha never going to happen only a few teams can offord that and especially on a colombian player... look suazo was like 16 million because he was from Honduras but a proven goal scorer in italy and was the best latin player in italy for the past 2 years ..... River needs to be serious unless the buyer is real, barca its not going to happen and I hope he doesnt go there ..... 2 spots and Raul will always be starter, then Van wtf his last name is, Robinho, Higuian, Saviloa....... come one guys

and Barca..... Dinho, Messi, Henry, Gio Dos Santos...

he needs to go to spain or italy and be in a top 6 team but not the big two unless maybe Juventus :) who both strikers are getting a big old and is a former huge team but hurt a bit because of the demotion

Before Garcia's first major injury, he was 'worth' $17 million USD, I doubt it actually went up.

    Ustedes no entendieron mi comentario....

    Umm let's see:
7 good games in his first season.
3 or 4 good games in this season.

That's in what, 3 or 4 seasons now? Even adding it up it's only 10 or 11 great games, which isn't even half a season. So I wouldn't say he had two good full seasons.

Not that I don't like him, I think he's great, but I also think its exagerrated to say he is uncontainable or "too good" for the Argentine League, when he barely started playing well again after a long while.

I would like to see him in Sevilla!!:) we could do with him, but Sevilla has already 3 extra communitarios and they are Luis fabiano, our homeboy Mosquera, and newly signed Arouna Kone. Chevanton who is another player that was an extra communitario is unregistered and may leave in January so for Falcao to come it may not happen. Shame :(

    Re: Radamel Falcao Garcia (r)

Maxi Lopez i dont think played a full season and went to Barca, and I think Fabricio Coloccini at his days at Boca Juniors, cause i remember him being there for like less than a year and he was shipped straight to AC Milan.
Recently was Maximiliano Moralez who played for Racing and won the U 20 world championship for argentina this year.

Agreed. Its certainly a bit early for some of these projections - but there our hopes and aspirations for the kid. It doesn't hurt to dream unless we hold it against the kid if he suffers a dip in form down the line. For me, Milan would be the ultimate - but any of the great clubs mentioned above would rock.

Also, to your point, he's never even played a full season, but in something like 25 league starts, he's got 14 goals (not including copa stuff) according to ESPN. Those are terrific numbers - even if the goals did accumulate in spurts -I think we all have to hope (and Falcao would ask us to pray) that he can keep this form.

but most of those player have comunitary passport

i think River, will try to put him in europe they no he's not a player you can trust, and he'll get injured again they will try to sell him before that happens

well is reality, just like Ronaldo might be great, he has injury problems, some players have more than others, the difference is how is he performing and how fast is he getting his form back between injuries

I agree, a few people here get carried away with silly comments..
there is no such thing as a player "being too good" for the Argie league..
that is just stupid, that league has seen some of the best players in the world start there, including some of our own.. the soccer played there is some of the best in the world along with the Italian league..

I agree that maybe we cannot say that Falcao has succeed in Arg Leage yet because he has not been so consistent. But definitively there is a difference between the 3 big leagues (England, Spain and Italy) and all the others including Brazil of course.
