There are few things in life more disingenuous than an argument that Democratic Presidents don't do enough for African-Americans, from a person who thinks that Democratic Presidents care too much about African-Americans.

Good god man....the cops are supposed to be the good guys. I've known a few good ones but also too many who flaunt their authority and protect their own from criticism!

Come to think of it McMurphy as POTUS, Martini as Chief of Staff, Chief Bromden as Chmn Joint Chiefs and Nurse Ratched as Surgeon General would bring some semblance of sanity. The rest could make the Cabinet meaningful again!

She's being charged with a misdemeanor, tho, because while what she did was try to put out a non-contract hit on him, the criminal offense is "filing a false police report".

My entire life, I've always taken the side of the college boys against the townies. Because as bad as the college boys can get, the townies are inevitably worse.

Or not. Pretty much. Some of them will be prosecuted, but there's a fair chance they'll walk, or get their hair stroked and receive a light-ish sentence.

That doesn't sound good. To give my townie high school credit, there was a lot of talk and trepidation before Oakland Tech came down for a track meet, Oakland Tech as the time being as black as a high school can get. (Grads included Rickey Henderson, the Pointer Sisters, and Huey Newton.) But people on both sides ended up being cool, it was just another meet. And we won.

 

You must have used grit and strategy to defeat their superior natural athleticism.

 

Irony was that our guy won the 100, 200, and 400.

That was like when East St. Louis Lincoln came to town. Well, except for us winning.
