I think the 20 goal mark is wishful thinking... dude hasn't even won a starting spot yet. This reminds me of the predictions before his Atletico season.
Anyone ever watch Oscar Cardozo? He was scoring goals left and right like nothing. But never moved onto a bigger club and my understanding he was never valued much by Paraguay. Why was that? Not saying Jimenez will do the same. But there are goals to be scored.
good question i see him as having 16 for 2013-2014 across both tournaments anyone have the actual numbers?
Tacuara had a great club record but was the ultimate choker with the Paraguayan NT Straight up NT scrub On the comparison with Jimenez: At this point there is none. Jimenez has never shown to be the prolific scorer that Cardozo was with his clubs. Sure he can prove a lot this season but lets not get our hopes to high. Dude got no playing time with Atl and looked off with the NT this summer.
I'm not trying to be a downer, but my hopes aren't very high for this guy. Hope he proves me wrong and at least scores ten goals.
You guys are too pessimistic he just joined the team and why would anyone rather have him at west ham who are absolute rubbish so they beat arsenal who hasn't beaten arsenal they couldn't even beat Monaco a team filled with on loan layers from braga
lol Just need him to practice and get to know his teammates. by any chance what system is being played?
well we will see in a couple of days, I hope. Anybody see the Benfica game? Them strikers picked it up today, plus, they played a 4-4-2 system.
What sucks about this move is that it happened so late. Haven't watched Benfica play, but he'll have to do well on his first couple appearances with them in order to get a starting spot. The other strikers have that advantage over him right now because they did the preseason and have somewhat gelled with the rest of the team. It seems the media over there see him as the starter, but he has to earn it. Coach and teammates(strikers) will definitely not hand it to him
