Look up Oscar Cardozo this guy is very similar to Jimenez and what Benfica want in their striker

Raul I dare say may even be better as he more mobility and quickness

His release clause is 45M€ and Atletico buyback option is set at 31,5M€

    Nice!

Unproven players like him rarely get a second chance, especially as good as this, so I hope he tears it up!

Jonas scored 31 last season. It's not easy for Jimenez, but they paid some good money for him. Hopefully he scores soon so he gains confidence. He failed to do that with Atletico and I think it hurt him.

I'm damn salty he declined playing in the EPL

Guy is already 24 and wasted a whole year in Spain.

If he doesn't light it up in an inferior league right away...welp.

His agent has quite a bit of money invested in him, I'm sure he has a contract with a good amount of minutes guaranteed, and if he doesn't preform well. I doubt his agent will send him back to liga mx possibly resulting from a loss in investment. Really doubt this season is as do or die as you guys make it out to be.

Let's hope this club cures him of last year's tronquitis. He's still young enough to have a solid European career.

How many goals would he need to score to be viewed as a success?

    At least 15 goals?

I think 10+ would be fair. That being said Benfica may have another idea.

Well looking at their goal scorers in the league last season, Jonas scored 31, Lima scored 19, Salvio scored 13, and Talisca scored 11.

I think their fans will be expecting him to be up there.
