We've been off for two weeks since we had a rainout last week. Sporting Philly sits 5th in the table with a 3-2-0 record. If we can win this week and the following week in the rainout makeup against FC Zot, we will avoid the bottom 4. That means we would not have to play the wild card round of the playoffs which would be Sunday, November 11th, the day after the made up FC Zot game.

    Here is our upcoming schedule:

    11.3 vs. Sporting Philly 12:45pm - Field 8
    11.10 vs. FC Zot 9:05am - Field 2
11.11 Wild Card round - Bottom 4 teams (Kickoff times are TBD)
11.17 First Round Playoffs (Kickoff between 12:45 and 2:35)
12.1 Semi Final Round (Kickoff at 11:00am)
12.2 Tercera Division Final (Kickoff TBD)

    Come on you SoBs!!!!!!!!!!!

As I said in another thread you can bring the #14 off of the retired list, as I will be there for this match...finally.

I think we should get together and practice a little bit before hand, not our usual half ass warm ups, we had a lot of time of we need to win these last to games.

I'll be getting there at 12 1215... also if everyone can get back to me or dave if you are going to be there just so we can have numbers ...please contact me at either ryanfitzpat@comcast.net or leave a message on here ... I'm trying to get a standard way of subbing so its gonna even out playing time and what not because we have been having problems with it ... and getting confused about positions when coming into the game. I think I've heard our numbers will be around 18 this week. So please please please get back to me if you are going to play

    Thanks

    Fitz

Here starts our 5 or 6 win game win streak to the championship!

I'm ********ing fired up guys. Let's get a win tomorrow. Don't stop running for 90 minutes. You can be tired later. If we get 3 points tomorrow we control our own destiny in staying out of the bottom 4.

    COME ON SOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I'll be there.

I'm happy to come out more frequently. I personally prefer several shorter rest periods to one or two longer ones. I don't know how well that works as far as maintaining positional consistency on the field, though. I typically have the energy to play lots of minutes, but I'm happy to go along with whatever's fair and best for the team.

We got rocked by cry baby FC. Several Oscar worthy performances by them though.

We got shat upon 4-0. I honestly can't think of a man of the match, we didn't play all that poorly, we were just largely unimpressive. I ate my ball bag on a break and I had a hand ball which led to a goal off the free kick. I blow.

those refs didn't help either. the one blew an offsides call which led to a goal and he freaking knew it. all he could say was sorry.

Man, I f**king hate losing like that. The second half, they had me chasing them around while they connected pass after pass or just dribbled by me.

I started running at least once a week to improve my endurance (something we could all really work on). But, I realized I contribute next to nothing in terms of ball possession and attack. Any tips on how to improve if I'm just practicing on my own? I figure I'll just go out and run with the ball and try cuts and turns. If only I could get a small-sided pick-up game going.

well i was actually kind of excited with some of the stuff i saw on saturday... i thought our ball movement was much better and other things kind of excited me especially the amount of shots we produced... whether they were good or not....now that we are coming down to crunch time we need to buckle down and do our best...

we need to play as a team and stop getting down on ourselves when we ******** up...instead of taking blame or passing it on... also i think we are getting ahead of ourselves by saying we are gonna beat fc zot...i know its hard to not think we are going to beat them but hey lets be honest we only have like 3 or 4 goals on the year... of which one or two have been lucky deflections... if everyone can make a decent effort to going out and working on shooting or passing with anyone you know wife, kid, weird psycho from bar you don't really know it will help... have them throw balls at you as hard as you can and trap it or one time pass it back... the running thing isn't gonna help much for this week but everytime we get a chance to touch a ball you get a lil better so please make an honest effort to go kick one for 10-20 mins a day or every other...

And if i hear anyone say our season is over again ... just don't come out to any games anymore...

    lets go s.o.bs
