Lol. Yeah, this can't be right. I recall that he was left of the Europa League roster, and he's not wearing the 11 jersey, it's El Pescadito's. I assume that's Ruiz starting and wearing the 11 jersey.
They must have mixed up Carlos Ruiz(who makes it 1-1 from a Javito assist in the 42') with Freddy. I'm watching it right now on DirecTV & I don't see Freddy out there.
Makes you wonder how accurate Soccernet is.... heheh. Somebody grabbed the wrong guy in the roster drop down box because Freddy just tweeted 8 mins ago... and unless he is pulling an OchoCinco... he is on his couch.
I saw on Soccernet Gamecast that Adu scored and was wondering why there were only 5 posts here but now I understand they made a mistake. "Goal!! Freddy Adu hits a very good right footed shot to the lower left corner from the centre penalty area (aprox. 6 yards) and scores!! The game is now tied at 1"
What's even funnier is that BBC hasn't picked up on the mistake. Europa League Macca: "Atletico Madrid's Europa League campaign is not going to plan so far. The Spaniards lost to Aris Salonika last time around and find themselves trailing to Leverkusen at the break. In the other Group B game the 'new Pele' Freddy Adu has levelled for Aris Salonika at Rosenborg. Villarreal led 10-man Brugge through Giuseppe Rossi's goal but Ryan Donk equalised on the stroke of HT. Elsewhere, Sheriff are 2-0 ahead against Dynamo Kiev, as are Sporting against Levski Sofia and it's Gent 1-1 Lille." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/9048997.stm
Goes to show how much the British journos know... Freddy is black...Ruiz is hispanic... I would think whomever is watching the feed of the Aris game and providing the electronic updates would at least know this...
Why not go all the way. This is the goal, btw. A tap-in. http://goal4replay.net/VideoWatchF.asp?ID=43688&Ln=En
Anyway, it doesn't look that bright for Aris anymore. They beat Atletico in the first game before losing to Rosenborg, but Atletico also just drew Leverkusen at home; Aris have to take more than 1 point from Leverkusen in the next two games to be in a somewhat comfortable position.
