I've just heard wind that I have a 2nd cousin who played for Juventus in the early to mid 90's.. His last name is Massara, I've done a little research for him but so far I am turning up short. Perhaps my grandparents heard wrong, or were told wrong. That is very likely, but I have to ask if you guys know anything about him and I figured this would be a good place to do so.
Nobody called Massara has played for Juve as far as I'm aware... nearest I could see is Giovanni Masera, but he played in the 1920s.
Thank you very much, my guess was that he had a trial or something and then the non-football/soccer intrigued family interpreted that as "playing" for Juventus. Thanks again.
If he played in the Serie A in the 1990s, he might have played for Pescara. Was his first name Frederic?
I just spoke with my grandfather and he confirmed that his first name is Frederic. Do you guys know much about him?
He was born in Torino. Played with Arezzo http://www.globalsoccertransfers.com/player/tran9907.html and http://www.calciatori.com/calcom/almanacco/calciatore.jsp?id=2479 I tried to join the site to get more info, but nothing. Sorry. May I suggest writing FIFA? http://www.fifa.com/contact/index.html
I don't think he ever played with Juve though. He played mostly for small teams. Some links on him at Pescara: http://digilander.libero.it/galeone11/tabellini/pescara91.htm http://digilander.libero.it/galeone11/tabellini/pescara92.htm He later went to Palermo.
