Has Wade's decision to play abroad hurt his chances to be capped for the national team?

Well, yes. In two ways. One he is less available for Nats games not played in Europe. And two, his departure opened up a starting slot for Dunivant who just may overtake him on the Arena-radar at left back if he continues to play like he has so far and continues to improve.

I think he's finished on the national team as long as BA is chief. If Wade walked out of national camp to go to Denmark, I think he probably was aware that he was punching his ticket as far as additional national team call-ups are concerned. I think that during the interview with him that came out afterward (sorry - don't remember the exact place or time) he pretty much acknowledged it; indicating that Bocanegra can do a good job at left back. Wade is Wade, and I'm sure he weighed this in his mind before he made his decision.

That said, I still think his agent should be hanged by his thumbs!
