Hey Guys!! I had a question about the reserve division. How is it different than MLS? Obviously I realize that different guys play on the reserves but is there potential for them to start for the main team? Any info you could give me about reserves would be much appreciated. Thanks!!
It's very similar to the JV system in high school. Gives the bench players a chance to compete in real games, not practice. There are rules about how much time any one player can appear in one weekend between the reserve and first team games, but other than that, any player on the roster is eligible to play in either game.
It's for the guys who didn't play in the main match that weekend. It's still the guys who are on the team's roster, not "different guys."
