Hopefully the 'Gallos Blancos' can win their promotion to the top flight this saturday. :)

So far they won their home fixture against Mérida 2-1.

The second leg of the Mérida vs Querétaro promotion playoff final is on right now on Azteca América!

Still 0-0 at the 15 minute mark, Querétaro leads the aggregate score 2-1.

    Now Mérida's leading 1-0.

Tied 2-2 in the aggregate, with this scoreline there would be extra time.

    Extra time it is!

Mérida was far and away the better side in regulation time but Querétaro did have a great chance, one-on-one against the 'Venados' goalkeeper, at the end but Jonathan Piña blew it!

Now on with extra time, may the best team be promoted. [IMG]

Gallos Blancos return to Primera, without a doubt if u guys want to compete in Primera u need to get many new players bcuz from wat i saw in this game Merida dominated the game completely but due to their lack of scoring didnt ascend

With the current squad I see them going straight back down but hopefully they get some decent player signings to compliment the solid base they already have.

I definitely would like to see Querétaro stay up and Estudiantes for the drop! :D

Well since they are making their return to the primera division, you can title the thread "The White Cocks come again!"

Congratulations. I would have preferred to see Tijuana advance further so us Californians can have a team closer to us, but whatever.

I like the Bossio signing. He's a well known, eperienced player with a proven track record unlike Chávez and to a lesser extent Vila.

I've got a soft spot for Querétaro since they've had squads with a fighting spirit despite being repeatedly victimized by the FMF. Hopefully they can stay up but with some of these signings I just don't know.

Bossio is an extremly good signing for this team, Lanus is a good team and have been playing well in the past couple years, along with the title in 2007, im impressed with the signing, however i also agree with soccer krazy there on the field players are not impressive signings

I don't think bringing bossio is that great of a signing

The guy is erratic. Not something a team like queretaro needs

From what I've seen of him he's been solid and in my opinion he's certainly more trustworthy and better option than 'Lupe' Martínez.
