I forgot about that one. Further proof that playing well away is something MLS teams are sorely lacking.
It won't be nearly cold enough for most of the games, unless there's a surprise freeze in October. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CONCACAF_Champions_League_2009–10
I'm was hoping they'll make it to the quarterfinals. I also hope the Costa Rican clubs get their act together next season. They always provide good balance to what would otherwise be complete Mexican domination. Let's hope the Islanders manage to do something.
As much as I enjoy SuperLiga, CONCACAF needs a full-blown 2nd tier cup. Hell, keep Superliga, but make it more than just USA/Mexico. Crap, this is going to be a new thread now isn't it.
if anything they should bring back the CCC with new rules and make it the 2nd cup below the Champions League
I think the region is a long way away from having a 2nd tier tournament. The Jamaican teams this year couldn't afford to participate in the CFU tournament, and Belize and Nicaragua have stadium issues. I think until they have every country relatively able to participate in one tournament the second won't even be a consideration.
I was at the Columbus leg of that match. I recall it was about a 70 degree day in April. Columbus scored both goals really early in the match in the home leg to scare the crap out of Morelia. Then the thing collapsed into a big joke as Morelia thugged it up. Red cards followed (and a coach ejection as well) and the Mexican fans in attendance threw objects on the pitch.
That's kinda what I suggested in a new thread. C'mon, you knew I was going to start one. If only to give you another thread to bash MLS, DGREAT
How cute to rivals agreeing, its true what they say opposite do attract. What are you gonna call the kids?
oye princessa la historia ya viene a su fin, no como mi equipo que tiene otro mejor torneo que ganar.
We should I care about montreal results? I'm a islanders supporter, their ultras are cool guys (met them personally), I respect them but it dosnt affect my when they loose.
