Barring a comeback win, we'll be bottom at the end of the evening. I am almost thoroughly depressed about the De Canio regime right now.
Camp is booked for delay of game. He was out of position and didn't allow a quick Palace throw-in. After that, Neil Warnock was sent to the stands.
Talking about the transfer window in the live audio at the moment. I don't know who we can get to make an immediate impact, but this is an interesting stat - we have zero wins this season without Hogan Ephraim in the line-up. When he started, we won 3 matches. Get him if you can!
With the modest budget provided on FIFA '08, I was able to gain promotion to the Premiership within 2 seasons. Of course Sahar is probably rated a little higher than he should be...
Frankly, I think that the best thing about the possible transfer window buys is that we can finally try to nail down a settled side as we go through the winter. Loanees, despite the effectiveness, never held provide an accurate picture of what is needed at the club. They're almost fools gold for a couple weeks or month, then the bottom soon falls out. We clearly need a few things in the window though. A decent fullback and centerback (even in addition to Mancienne). Someone to play on the left of midfield permanently. Depth in the middle of the park and depth at striker. So essentially we need a little bit of everything. Great.
We're now 4 points plus goal difference (so, 5 points) from safety and 2 points plus GD behind 23rd and 22nd: 17 Leicester 19 3 22 18 Scunthorpe 20 -6 22 19 Colchester 20 -2 20 20 Cardiff 19 -5 20 21 Blackpool 19 -5 20 ------ 22 Preston 20 -6 18 23 Norwich 20 -12 18 24 QPR 19 -14 16
Is it too early to say we're f****d? Half empty thinking I know but I've been following the Rs too long to be half full.
If it wasn't for Briatore, Ecclestone, and the promise of the January transfer window, I'd say we were screwed. Given those changes, I have to believe they won't let it happen and will spend more money in January than they intended to make sure we stay up. If this was last year and all we had to spend in January was a couple hundered thousand or something, I'd say we're screwed and I'd be planning for life in League One. Without Briatore, we wouldn't have Buzacky or Leigertwood and they're two of our best players (we probably wouldn't have Vine on loan, either, as he'd cost too much) and we still suck.
Yesterday's booking of Rowlands was his 5th, so while he can play this Saturday, he'll be suspended for next Tuesday's game at Burnley. Dexter Blackstock will miss this weekend's game against Scunthorpe. It's the final game of his three-game suspension. Both Adam Bolder and Rowan Vine are on four cards, so their next yellow will see them receive a one-game suspension. http://www.qpr.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~1183697,00.html
