Gareth Ainsworth (pelvis) and Martin Rowlands ("slight tweak" of unnamed body part) will sit out tonight's Copa de Ibiza final against Coventry City. As in the first game, the R's are expected to give almost everyone on the trip some time.

Also, Coventry asked QPR to move the home opener at their new stadium back from Saturday to Sunday (there are doubts the stadium will be ready), but the R's said no since we already have games the Tuesday and Friday afterward. Saturday-Tuesday-Friday is bad enough -- Sunday-Tuesday-Friday would be even worse.

According to a poster on the QPRnet board:

    Starting lineup:

    Cole

    Biggy Santos Evatt Rose

    Miller Chambers Bircham Brown

    Furs Gallen

    -------------

    Chris Day starts for Coventry.

Check out the commentary over there. Looks like the R's went 2-0 down in the first half. Birch came off injured. Then there was fighting among supporters which stopped play for a bit. Just after that Sturridge scored for QPR to make it 2-1. Game still ongoing. For running commentary, see www.qprnet.com

According to Varc on the QPRnet board, Sturridge equalized, then good work by Sturridge was finished off by Gallen and we're now up 3-2!

Good to hear. Big, shiny trophies are always good, no matter how little import is placed on winning by the other sides.

By the way, I'm starting a new internet radio soccer show called "The Full 90 with Josh Manck." (There's a link in my sig.)

I've e-mailed Billy with QPR World, and am waiting for his reply. I'm hoping that some representative of QPR (*crosses fingers for Ollie interview*) will be my first interview of an international soccer person.

Hope that works out. That would be great. Keep us up to date!

    Good news about winning something.

Shame we had the wanker element out there. Can't believe this tournament had trouble. We'll start getting a reputation soon.
