Certainly not but Pulisic is a likeable kid too. He has an infectious personality and usually is smiling and having fun on the pitch. Thats the typical athlete I am drawn to watch in most of the sports I play and coach. Its a game after all and seeing someone enjoy it certainly makes it more enjoyable for me. I love watching my kid in college always smile on the field. Makes me happy.
5 goals for CP in the past 3 PL matches...wow...After the poor start, never expected to turn around in such a way.
Please, take the week off and repair. What is happening with his, IDK how to put it, his career, is much more important than 2 long plane rides and some frustration in smoking hot weather. Please.
He looked to clatter into the post when he scored. Looked OK afterwards though and celebrated like he'd won the world cup but it knocked the wind out of him by the looks of it. Hopefully no damage done.
Horses for courses, players for positions. Trying to get Abraham to play like Pulisic would be a bad idea (not that it stopped a few England youth coaches playing him on the wing).
Come now. That is nothing more than basic soccer training that starts at the U10 age. Follow up on the shots. Little kids playing in back yards know this. Don't try to explain soccer in terms of another sport.
Yes, the risk is too great. In fact, he should never play for us until we play for the World Cup trophy. Any other strategy is stupid and risky and anti-American.
He gets it from two different perspectives. Apparently, he is a big basketball fan. He is always quick to follow up. Sports is sports.
Mount was ball watching, Bats was ball watching after his shot was blocked. This is what distinguish Pulisic from the rest...never give up on the play.
Yup...Dempsey picked up so many goals keeping his movement forward into the 6 yard box, after the pass. I used to get so frustrated with Jozy's lack of movement into the 6 yard box and ball-watching during his time at Sunderland...Never scored much. Glad to see CP showing poacher's movement and picking up poacher's goals.
This is why he scored so much at the youth level and why it hasn't (to this point translated) to the senior level. He: hasn't played in and around the box as much as he did when he was basically a 10 at the youth level has never really had strong shooting skills a ton of his goals at the youth level which we are now seeing at the senior level is following rebounds or dribbling to put himself in a position for a one on one within the 6 At Dortmund he really didn't get a lot of opportunity to do any of the above, because he was rarely central enough to make those runs (like his last two goals) where he was following up on something Here's a video of all his youth goals. Watch and tell me that he was deployed like this at Dortmund, because you can't.
