As many of you know, the supporters ran a few buses to matches from NYC last season. During the off-season the supporters decided a better use of resources was to invest in pre-game tailgate parties at the stadium rather than lose money running buses to games. In the alternative we encourage fans to now make use of the LIRR Booze Trains. You can get to the stadium in plently of time to enjoy the tailgate and it is faster and eaiser than taking a bus down the LIE.

This video shows you how easy it is to get to the stadium from NY Penn Station.

The best part of taking the LIRR is that consumption of alcohol is allowed. Bring a smaller cooler or a few drinks and enjoy the 30 minute trip to Mineola. Bring plenty of booze if you are coming to the tailgate!!

Shuttles from the train station to Hofstra run 2.5 hours before the match and 1 hour after the match. They drop off in the main parking lot to the east of the stadium.

Trains to Mineola run about every 30 minutes off peak. You can also get there via Woodside, Jamacia and Atlantic terminal stations as well as Penn Station.

I took the buses and trains last year and the trains were by far the most hassle free and fastest way to and from the games. Being able to pound beer on the train was a huge plus.

FYI - fans looking to get to Hofstra early for the tailgate, take the 2:22 train from Penn station and head to the first car....going to turn it into the Cosmos car.
