My first time at the parc, the atmosphere was great but the game wasn't. PSG0-1Lyon PSG gave away a goal in the first half from a left-hand CK. I don't know what happened in the box cuz I was too far away to see but the way they gave away the corner kick was just too awful: A pass in their own half, directly to a Lyon attacker. It was a chance to counter attack Lyon but somebody just gave it away and we were lucky enough to get it out of play. This was the way they played the whole 90 minutes: stupid passing mistakes near the middle of the field, ocassionally giving away forward breaks for Lyon, which troubled Letizi more then once. Letizi did a very good job. I'd give him a 6.0 or 6.5 even though we lost. Dhorasoo was on a roll but nobodyelse,,,,, now I know what they mean by "PSG needs some motivation". I think PSG wasn't motivated today and won't be for the rest of Ligue 1 matches cuz they have no chances to get near the top 4 and they're gonna be using these matches as scrimmages to get ready for the cup semis. thanks so much for the recap... i was down in florida and watched the game there and i was just sick... so bad it's ridiculous... i think it's both a certain lack of motivation (doesn't make sense though because lyon comes to town and you should automatically be pumped) but also that lyon is just at another level above ALL other french teams right now... i hope you enjoyed the 2 or 3 ALLEZ PARIS back and forth as well as the rest of the chants... sorry you had to be there during such a sucky season... you should have come w/ me on july 30th this past summer when psg defeated metz 4-1 in the first game of the season... i was at the supras auteuil w/ a friend and my cousin and seriously, it was RIDICULOUS!!!!!!
you're right I guess, Lyon is ahead by more than just a few steps. I really enjoyed the ALLEZ PARIS calls, but what I really enjoyed were the "enculé" chants when the Lyon starters were being announced. Also, for your information, in the final minutes of the match we were chanting "Pipo Inzaghi!! Pipo Inzaghi!!" hoping that Lyon would give us a late goal or two like they did to Milan.
