I come back to this thread to again thank you for the detailed description of where the various support groups come from and what they stand for. I hope that the day comes again where the stadium is full and I also look forward to my first time to Paris to attend a match.

Yes , I only live 20 minutes away from the emirates stadium . I went to the game against NY Red Bulls . There was a decent amount of PSG fans attending . More than I was expecting actually .

Où sont passés les ultras du PSG ? http://www.lemonde.fr/sport/article/2011/12/14/ou-sont-passes-les-ultras-du-psg_1618516_3242.html
I found it because they were discussing it on a Lille forum of all places. I watched some of the Europa League match yesterday and on tv it did seem the crowd wasnt very loud.
in the article, youssef is very lucid when he says the club's attitude is that they don't need the ultras. but if the plan leproux seems to be functioning at the moment, at some point its weaknesses will show. the "big names" are filling up the parc every match. but the bigness of those names is more comm than reality. we're not talking messi or cr7, not even ronaldinho, rai or okocha. and if results, meaning titles in the plural, don't follow these fans will not stay loyal... with the ultras PSG filled up the parc while finishing in the ventre mou of L1. there's a big enough population to draw from that they can depend for a good while upon the occasional public, who take their sons to the parc once a year the way they take their daughters to the nutcracker at the palais garnier. but ultras provide more than just support to the team; they provide a large part of the spectacle that this kind of spectator has come for. if the new, less passionate public feels the spectacle is no more thrilling (and 5 times more expensive) than going to the cinema, they don't have that passion that will keep them from taking their entertaiment euro elsewhere. the plan leproux was a big stick. if j-c blanc is wise, he will get the carrots out when and if he meets with the representatives of those ultras still interested in PSG.

Historic moments: I watched this match: Kop of Boulogne: Silent atmosphere: I think that the last song, 1.15 minute is very similar to the song called Flower of Scotland? Fan Chants:
From someone on another site Interesting report for you from last night’s match Porto vs PSG, but first you must know a little history. Fans of Paris St Germain used to be famous for making one of the best atmospheres in France at Parc Des Princes but in recent years police repressions & authorities tried to remove ultras from the stadium, often with great success. And now atmosphere at PSG is very bad & there is not so much colour in the stands, really quite sad. So authorities in France did not allow fans of PSG to buy tickets for this away trip in Porto, but still between 50-70 fans arrived in the city & managed to get tickets directly from Porto FC or from personal contacts. But of course these tickets are for all different areas in the stadium so it was funny to see police & stewards try to get all French lads together in the central sector! Later in the match they decide that they will hop onto the grass & move to the official away tribune where they can all sing together for their team. Big respect for this action!
