I’ll be in Fleming tomorrow at 10:30 and depending on how my appointment goes might venture over the bridge to see if my app will take a bet.
There is literally nothing in Fleming. There isn't really a Fleming. It's a.sign by the side of the road. When you cross the river on 77 theres an exit almost immediately, sign says Williamstown. Turn right, theres a big gas station and another 100 yards theres a WV visitors center. Either one would serve to pull over quick and test your theory.
No. Thank you. I recall some posters did not think much of him last season. As I said in my previous post, I still do not have a full opinion of him. That you and Archer like him, well that is certainly something to say.
I like him as well. I think his execution has lagged behind his soccer brain so far. He'll be an impact player if the two are in sync.
I'm sorry I didn't reply earlier, but @zman31 hit most of the points and I didn't see the need. But in addition to that, I love his approach to the game. People talk about "2 way players" but in reality very few really are. Mokhtar is the real deal. He busts his ass on offense and on defense, is fierce in transition, he's tough and tireless and plays with his head up. Watch him when possession changes. His mental reaction is instant, from attacking to defending and back again all game long. Doesn't tire, doesn't take plays off. As @DGA57v2 notes, he still doesn't always seem in sync with the plan but he's getting better. Last year it was more evident, to the point that I wondered if there was a language barrier. Now I think it's just comfort level. But his field vision is first rate; he almost always makes the right pass if not always the right run but his mistakes tend to be from aggression not confusion or passivity. I think he's going to be a major factor.
I would add that fitness seemed to be a small issue when he joined last season and I’m hoping to see more of what he can do when fully fit.
Ok, here’s the update. My appointment was changed to downtown Marietta so getting across the river was easy. Stopped at the rest stop at the second exit in WV and signed up for FanDuel Sportsbook. When I tried to place the bet the app said they couldn’t confirm my location in NEW JERSEY. Closed the app and went home. I looked at a few of the other apps but wasn’t sure which were truly legit and I would be comfortable giving my payment info to but came up empty. FanDuel sportsbook only works in NJ?
True. I was implying that if we move to the top of the standings, betting could reflect optimism for the Yellow Soccer Team to get it done.
Count me among the Mohktar believers. I liked what he brought last year in limited games and I'm interested to see him grow. I thought he looked better overall than Diaz* in preseason. *Who I also like a lot.
There are apps that let you spoof your GPS. You can also do this in Chrome developer settings if it's a webpage.
I hear that. It may make a difference that FanDuel runs the sports book in the casino he goes to and he signed up there. I guess that's one of their things - managing the book at independent casinos. So maybe if one stops by one of them - I know they have some in casinos in Indiana but dont know about Ohio - and open an account then you can maybe log into and do business no matter where you are.
Wouldn't something like TunnelBear work for you to give an IP address in NJ? At least if they are fencing by location of the IP address rather than zip code of the billing card.
I don't know about the gambling sites handle this, but PokerStars is absolutely no nonsense about this kind of thing. If you're usuing software or other electronic means to subvert their legal restrictions you're going to lose the money you have on deposit there. I would highly suggest that anyone avoid doing this type of thing. Getting around the geolocking of a Crew preseason stream is one thing, subverting a local blackout to access a service your'e already paying for is another. But spoofing the location of your account on a heavily regulated gambling site is a recipe for losing your money and not because of a bad bet.
I'm kinda hurt that none of you said "Chris you can just go to Fanduel.com and make your wager. It's really quite simple."
Hey now. @DrunkandDisorderly places the occasional wager. And I've never placed a sports bet in my life. Honest.
Here's the ultimate proof that Mokhtar is better than you all think. https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/simulated-crew-2020-season.2108070/page-4#post-38521471
