Random news, but the first team heads off to Qatar for 4 days after this match. Imagine we see the Rooney RvP combo back. Maybe Ando from the start in midfield.
Think we should ease Wayne back into things. Not sure how much good it would do to start him so soon after coming back. Agree with Ando. We may see Shinji on the left again because we simply don't have fit and rested wingers.
Pretty safe to say that De Gea, Rafael, Rio, Vidic, Evra, Carrick, Cleverley, Rooney and RVP would start. Remaining 2 - I'd guess Kagawa and Nani.
Nani only played 80, but I get your point. I think if we do start both of them, then starting Ando is a no go, as that's one injury (likely with Rio/Vida on the pitch), one player sure to be gassed and then 2 who wont be at peak fitness. Tough choices for the gaffer to make. I'd like to see Welbeck involved, particularly if we don't start Rooney. But I think Stud is probably right in assuming Wayne starts.
I'd very interested to see how a front 4 like this would work: -----------Van Persie Welbeck---Rooney---Kagawa I'd imagine that all 4 are smart enough footballers to be able to interchange effectively.
Still, among the top teams, we got Arsenal away, Chelsea home, Everton home, Spurs away, Spurs are probably the team to exploit our weaknesses most.
Chelsea away, Liverpool away, Man City away all out of the way. Only Man Utd can eff this up from here on out.
Good point, but depending on how we do in CL and FA Cup, we could easily lose points at West Ham or Stoke while fielding a weaker team.
Btw lads and lasses, we've had snow in many areas of Britain on Thursday and Friday. Don't be surprised if some matches end up being postponed. Anyone daan sarf on who can say what it's like round there? Probably a good thing that this match isn't on until Sunday. Edit: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/21078417 - BBC piece on what's already been called off. Not sure if they're going to update that article. Fortunately it only seems to be the smaller grounds so far, presumably they don't have undersoil heating.
