One thing that gets me about Arteta is that we don't seem to get better at halves go on, or late in games. For all his faults, late goals (in halves and games) were a thing under Wenger.
Eh? They might not even be the worst places on reddit. It's just that the Arsenal subreddit is full of people that thought Willian was a good signing when it was made.
I think that's partly because we had no trouble progressing the ball under Wenger, and a lto of teams were under pressure from us for most of the game. Yeah, we struggled to break down teams, but that only happens when teams put in the hard work to stop our football. Their energy level drops eventually, and we had chances late in the game. I doesn't look like Burnley needs to do a particularly difficult job stopping us.
The end result is all that matters and so far after 51 minutes he's still perfect in his appearances in goal. It looks like Leno might be riding the pine for quite a while, so to speak
I'll admit I'm nitpicking. Been watching him a lot today to see where his game differs from Leno. (As he trips the attacker, we'll see how this plays out) He does seem to track crosses very confidently.
Thank God for VAR no penalty Ramsdale clearly got the ball first, the other guy tripped over him by accident. Still 1-nil Arsenal
