You didn't answer the question. Also, Ramsdale didn't come close to your hypothetical musing. Maybe it's time to admit... he's good.
Also don't get on keepers backs all the time. Like referees its basically the worst part of the pitch to be. You are judged so harshly and tossed away as if you don't exist. He'll have his bad days, but he's been nothing short of excellent today and is the sole reason Arsenal are winning.
I’ve been a Ramsdale backer so pause on the condescending emojis. And I don’t answer asinine questions usually but I’ll let you in on a secret—there’s a reason Ramsdale is playing over Leno and it’s not that Leno is a bad shot-stopper Edit: Ramsdale’s passing percentage is below 40% on the day and he’s usually around 70 so yeah I’d say that’s bad for him, and quite a few of the splash saves he’s made have been a result of his poor passing immediately putting us into semi-transition states of broken lines and easy shots for Leicester
FT LEI 0-2 ARS We totally owned them for the first 25'. Then we let them control the match. And a combination of luck, good defending and lack of clinicality by them... and somewhat miraculously we maintained a 2 goal lead for 70'. I'm not sure we fully deserve this result, and I'm a little bothered for how we played it, but... The streak continues We've got great confidence Ramsdale has been a key signing (who knew) We're moving up... to bloody 5th place (if only temporarily) Onward with @ArsenalMetro
Idk why we sit back so much when we get a lead considering how vulnerable Leicester looked when we actually tried. But whatever, good win
NBC's post-match comments on Ramsdale: Howard: "He's done everything well", "He'll probably be worth 10-12 points" Lowe: "Yeah, distribution impressive as well" Hmm...
Gutty win. Not sure it’s fully deserved, but on the whole we managed them well on the counter-attacks, and didn’t allow many good shot attempts. Ramsdale is my MOTM, but props to everyone on our back line as well. Really solid play from all of them today.
Since Aaron Ramsdale came into the team only Chelsea (2) and Man City (3) have conceded fewer goals than Arsenal (4).— Orbinho (@Orbinho) October 30, 2021 I wouldn't credit Ramsdale entirely, he came into the squad at the same time as Gabriel and Tomiyasu. All 3 have been really good so far. White has been solid since struggling vs Brentford, and there isn't the same drop off at LB when Tierney is out as there was last year thanks to Tavares.
Nice post-match interview from everyone's* MOTM Aaron Ramsdale. Just was expecting him to say that he wished he was a little less busy. But the bit about him missing much of his clothing after the match was cute... * Well... nearly everyone?
I disagree. I thought he was fine. Not great but not bad. Thought the Odegaard sub was smart. We took back some level of control a few minutes after he came on. Overall, I thought it was a decent performance. Can't be expected to dominate a team as good as Leicester on their own pitch for the entire match.
Laporte just got a straight red for the EXACT same situation that Evans got a yellow. Tired of this bullshit.
Nearly identical. Ridiculous. And at halftime, no comparison of the two events from the "expert pundits" Howard and Robbie.
I'm ok with a yellow card for the Johnny Evans late hit on Ramsdale. I know some folks are calling for a red. Oh wait... F---ing horrible refereeing.
He also pulled Aubameyang down off the ball earlier in the game. BTW Arsenal just moved above Tottenham in the table. Sixth even on points with United and West Ham, in 5th and 4th, respectively.
