    Hi,

no, Makaay hadn't any problem scoring in the CL. It's quite the opposite.. I think he even lead the scoring table after the group stage. Then he got injured and was hurtly missed. Altogether he had 8 appearances and scored 7 times. In result I think there is no *!%R reason why this hoojdonk guy starts more often than makaay in the dutch national team!

In the CL every big club is favorite because in the CL everthing can happen.

    1) Bayern have a revamped defense
    2) Ballack isn't leaving

and just as important...an excellent DM....which was part of the problem with those games against Chelsea.

Makaay is king of the Champions League! Just in his last three seasons in the Champions League he scored 22 goals and two hattricks, one against Ajax and ironically, the other against Bayern.

    Not bad.

Oh and Makaay's record in the CL (with Bayern) is: 13 goals in 16 matches..

    Very impressive.

For sure, didnt know his stats was that good.

But you guys mention not having a fit striker last season while you played Chelsea, but imagine what we could have accomplished if we had a better striker than Drogba. Sigh!!!!

Come on, as much as i love 'THE TANK', it is well known fact that he was probably the weak link in the Chelsea team. Sure he played well against Bayern, but no offense, even Kezman would have had a good time against your defense.

What can i say, us Chelsea fans seek perfection :D

lol, actually except for being beaten in the air, our defense did pretty well against your lot...

correct me if im wrong, but aside from the two deflected goals which were going wide, EVERY single one of your goals came because we were beaten in the air...

so if it hadnt been for drogba, you guys would have been rather toothless!

so much for the theory about kezman doing well against us... next!
