Yes a great pass from Cheney and she......SPRAYED it AGAIN. No poise on the ball whatsoever.

I assume you're referring to how they look ... but Krieger has been our best defender tonight, in the biggest pressure game we've had to play in more than two years, so yes, she should be a fixture in the team going forward to the WWC. Morgan really should take over A-Rod's role.

I think Leroux or Press might be that person. I think Morgan should 100 percent be on the team and playing though.

Massively lucky on the free kick. Barnhart needed to cover that one, rebound was muy peligroso.

72' 3-0 #15 Mónica Malvassi sprints down the 6-left lane this time, through box top. #16 Ally Krieger closes her down, blocks shot over for a left corner.

73' 3-0 #19 Rachel Buehler passes poorly from deep right to USA's box top right, too wide for #4 Yael Averbuch. Averbuch slides down into a roundhouse clearance, whacks #11 Raquel Rodríguez Cedeño's ankles. Yellow card on Averbuch, she will fwd a copy of it to Buehler.

75' 3-0 Costa Rica subs in [3 of 3] #17 Jacqueline Alvarez for #10(c =>) Shirley Cruz. #16(=>c) Katherine Alvarado is now captain.

79' 3-0 USA at box top left post, quick inside-out pass to #5 Alex Morgan at 7m box left. She quickly crosses, blocked over point-blank. USA left corner, curls in but away from everybody, #1 Díaz comes out and catches it.

Costa Rica seem to be a beaten side at this point.

Any chance we could spend the last ten minutes watching the lines on the field dry? It'd be more interesting. This is flat-out terrible soccer.

Harsh YC on Lori. And man, she looks tired. Just 10 more minutes, hang in there!

82' 3-0 Matchtracker claims a yellow card on #11 Lori Lindsey at 80', but that doesn't jive with ESPN3's overlay clock, which showed basically no stoppages from 79' to 81. At 82', the ref, all smiles, pulls out her book and writes in it, but doesn't clearly show a card to anybody. Was that it?

Yeah it was, don't know what it was for mind you! Bit of a mystery just like LePeilbet's, although back when LePeilbet was carded I was still paying attention...

this team is very good at back passing but they can't really connect going forward. very strange.

So who flipped the "off" switch for CRC after the free kick 10 minutes ago. Their work rate has dropped to nothing.

Frankfurt has got to be getting pissed. I mean if the US advance that means they pretty much don't have Krieger for a over a month.

did barney just shove lepeilbet out of her way.

86' 3-0 Odd ping at Costa Rica's box top 6-right, squirts loose down to 6-top right. More oddly, #3 Christie Rampone is the one chasing it!! #1 Dinnia Díaz slides to collect, Rampone hops over her arms. And starts the long trek back to her spot :p

Concacaf announcers agree with BrooklynSoccer re: Morgan. She's "guapa y fortissima!"

That's what happens when you don't get the job done in the semis...

What's Megan Schnurr doing? She's left footed and would be much better than Buehler. Has good speed - once again better than Buehler.

89' 3-0 #19 Rachel Buehler short throw-in from midfield left. #11 Lori Lindsey clangs it directly to #14 Cristin Granados waist-high, who whiffs at it even more awkwardly, foul tip into left touch. Buehler advances 5m, throws in again.
