So, this time, nicholas lindsay doesnt show up in the injuries list at all. Could there be a nicholas lindsay sighting this saturday?
On a related note, has anyone heard from Adrian Cann? Is he still injured or is just yet another player who is not a 'Mariner' guy?
Mariner showed no reticence to start Cann in KC in his first game in charge. He probably doesn't want to mess with a back line that had been doing okay though and wants to show faith in the young kids who have stepped up. We've given up very few goals from open play over our last five games. Cann's not a long term solution and will need to wait his turn. He's still a guy who might have a future at the club but not necessarily as an every game starter over the next year or two.
I know that's how they listed it on Twitter but, as suggested on U-Sector, I won't be surprised if it's more like this: -----------------------Hassli -------------------Silva Johnson-------------------------------Lambe ------------Dunfield-----Frings --Morgan---------------------------Henry --------------Emory--Eckersley --------------------Kocic Call it 4-4-1-1 or 4-2-3-1 depending on how deep Silva's dropping.
Looks like he played for the senior academy last week http://www.cansoc.org/showthread.php?44641-CSL-2012-Week-13
i have trouble believing that screech is a better choice at cb than cann. or eckersley for that matter. but i have a lot of questions about mariners choices
I second that. Cann is definitely a better choice than Emory. Logan Pause looks like a total idiot...blaming RJ when he clearly runs right into the back of RJ's head.
some thoughts: * TFC is very lucky not to be down about 3-1 so far. The defence has been making far too many mistakes. Chicago just hasn't capitalized on any of them * On a breakaway like that, Ryan Johnson kicks it right at the keeper 9 times out of 10. Actually, I think he did kick it at the keeper this time too, only the keeper conveniently moved out of the way. * I wish Mariner would realize that eckersley is not a cb * Unfortunate for Silva not to score on that one that (I believe) hit the post. At least they are starting to do better on the attack.
It's all coming apart now. Hall comes off because of injury but we can't sub because Mariner wasted the last one on Maund.
so happy about the O'Dea signing, if Mariner has any self-respect we'll never see Emory on the field again. although that was a shocking clearance by Henry..from whom we've seen that before.
