    More hair-dye for Paulie! :D

If Hejduk used that much bleach in his hair, I could let it slide - at least that dude knows how to surf - Hartman is just a poseur!
Speaking of poseurs who play for the wiz- that claudio lopez is way past his sell-by date. Davy Arnaud has finally reached his maximum potential and his hype is finally coming back down nearer to his abilities. Wolff can still be dangerous once a month (and it's early in May still), so we do have to keep an eye on him.
Is their leading scorer still a defender?

    It's DCU vs KCW, I predict a tornado :D

I sure hope that Comcast isn't screening a Caps game that evening, because when I tried to set up my DVR to capture the Direct Kick broadcast my provider's screen (Dish) let me know it was blacked out in my area (Loudoun County, VA).

Versus has the exclusive rights to game 2 (tonight) and 3 (wednesday) so we should be good from that angle.

Re: KC vs. DCU- Wednesday, May 6, 8:30PM EDT

    it's too bad they don't have games 3 and 5 instead of 2 and 3 :(

So, no TV at all for Saturday, that's too bad. Maybe TFC is carrying it on CBC and they can run that on Direct Kick???????

I very much enjoy watching the game on TV the next day to see what really happened during the half of the game I don't see because I'm waving a flag or banging a drum or standing on my chair singing - heck, sometimes after seeing the game, like this weekend's, I even feel like calling the referees and apologizing for calling them bad things during the run of play :) Game looks completely different from where the cameras are mounted up high on the opposite side of the stadium :)

The Caps are exclusive on Versus that night, no local broadcast exception. Comcast has the DC United game.

Zing! Well played sir, well played.

Best part about KC's field is the lovely hill that boys and girls can sit on while calmly watching the game. They can have a picnic or even do their homework out there.

I'm thinking a mix of players start this game:

    N'Silu-Emilio

    Fred-Quaranta-MacTavish

    Simms-Jacobson

    Namoff-Janicki-Jakovic

I'd like to see some of the younger players get a game off to rest and try to incorporate some of tweener starters.

mcT over pontius, and n'silu over moreno and fred for r.wallace, i'll take the wallace trade, but pontius is playing really well, i'd love for him to see some solid playing time

unfortunately, i'll probably be watching the caps game, good god, tonight was awesome, and watch the end of the dcu game

    Crayton
    Namoff Jakovic John
    Simms Jacobson
    Pontius Fred
    Gomez
    Emilio N'Silu

Subs - janicki, Moreno, Quaranta, Wallace, Khumalo, Burch, Kocic

I think we will see some changes, but not a change in style Probably leave olsen at home, moreno as a sub if needed.
Maybe the first game for Avery John? I will say if he's fit, he could start , if not maybe on the bench.
I want to see Fred on the left, but i could see Tommy starting Wallace again. Might be a good idea for a break though, let Fred compete for his roll on the left.

    Just some ideas, thats it.

KC is a decent team and can be a real test. Any result is a good one.

Re: KC vs. DCU- Wednesday, May 6, 8:30PM EDT

Man, if the Caps can just win two more little games (;)) this week, the TFC game can be on TV :D

But until then, I say we come out guns blazing in this one even though we're on the road. If we strike early enough, we completely change their game. I just hope if we do manage to get one early, we don't drop off like we have been every time we get a lead and just "hope" it lasts.
With this team, if we can strike early and often, we should be able to coast in the second half and blood a few extra young guys. Assuming we bring any ;)

I've said it the last 3 or 4 games, and I still mean it - I really would like to see Wallace start this game on the bench, he needs to watch a game sitting next to the coaches.

Would this be a good game to rest Luci? Maybe start Jaime and N'Silu up top and see what happens.
Fred should be back from taking care of his daughter; if she's doing better, starting him may be wise. If not, his mind is probably too preoccupied, but I'd still bring him, he's too potentially dangerous to leave at home.
I might want to rest Jaime for Saturday, but after last week, can you even ask him to come in off the bench if you're the coach? I don't think so. But you can yank him early.

The (surprising) big question: Who starts in goal? I predict Crayton for both games this week.

This game has the potential to be 1-0, or even 0-0.

Re: KC vs. DCU- Wednesday, May 6, 8:30PM EDT

Remember those games in which the team was never complacent with a one, two, or even three goal lead? I want this to be one of those games. Strike early, strike often, and leave 'em shellshocked. Use the possession game only to drive up the score...

    I'm greedy that way.

One of the best things about the past couple of games has been the early balls onto midfield runs to exploit the defense...something that was significantly lacking last year. I think having Fred in the lineup limits the team's ability to exploit that at the moment.

I've seen probably 3.5 episodes of that show, and I think I just had more explained to me in the one line above than in watching the show. Now what I saw makes a lot more sense.

This game is the 4th point in our 7 point run.

    1-1
