Of course, it was the NYRB "B" team . We created at least 3 gilt edged chances in that second half, and people (Timon) still don't think we deserved something out of that game, except for the move that resulted in the goal. We even saw someone giving up on the Crew with time left to play. I think on that note it is time to log out because I can not stomach some of the blinkered views of these posters.

On the MSG feed after the whistle, the camera caught Jeff and Ballouchy talking, and it's a big reason why I love Cunningham, warts and all. He loves this game and acts like it all day long.

I still love how Jeff, even after all these years, is like a little kid. Chatting up Ballouchy, smiling all the time, probably giving advice to the young goalscorer, but looks like he's having the time of his life anyway.

Oh, come off your ********ing cross. We are not good. We managed to draw a team that also hasn't won in a month-plus, but who was also missing a lot of players, and we did it through desperation.

Yay for not giving up, but the team still blows.

Look forward to Francis getting more minutes over the next few games. I think we'll be better with him on the field.

he's got the Sergio Herrera +/- after tonight!

Justin Meram gets my vote for MOTM. We haven't seen a run like that up the left side with such service in how long? Damn that was beautiful.

Why don't you get off yours? I bet you were even disappointed we scored - would have had a much better bitch and moan then wouldn't you? It was a good second half performance that warranted at least a point, even more, but in Timon land we have to accept that "we are not good" because.....oh the team we are playing (who are where in the east?) have not won in a while.

Watch our goal again: Mendoza is actually backing away and putting himself in a position to piss away another chance or just plain get away from the change altogether. Hilarious.

I wouldn't be surprised if Meram is our starter and Mendoza is no longer in the Yellow' n ' black, by the end of the summer.

    Why wait??

BTW, for all those stellar contract specialists out there, if Mendoza is let go, does the club still have to pay the remainder of that salary?

Jeff Cunningham played great I thought. he opened up space and was just an overall threat. Mendoza was mediocre, better than what people are giving him credit for.

The good: JC, Meram, Chad, Balchan, Ekpo, Duka

    The bad: Gaven, James, Gardener

We were lucky to get a point tonight. Let's face it. Our attack has no creativity, it appears that our defense is losing it's heart. If it wasn't for their right back (MLS Rookie) and their right mid (MLS Rookie) making HUGE tactical mistakes getting sucked upfield with a 1-0 lead with less than 60 seconds left COMBINED with HUGE desire from our two rookies, this would be 0 pts for us.

WTF was James doing on the goal? Why did he double team Rogers with Gardner way out there? That's a horrible mistake by him. Hesmer already had one HUGE save on Ballouchy earlier too. Our defensive midfield and our defenders have now let up 9 goals in our last 5 games.

Sepp Messing on Mendoza, "He is shocking.........BAD". I thought Mendoza had good energy and hustle in the first half, but it went away in the second half. I don't know if he got tired or what. And off foot or not, he's GOT to finish that first point blank opportunity. And the header was atrocious.

It's time for Gaven to have a seat for a game. I don't know if it's the baby stress, or what. But he just looks like his tank is empty every game now.

I thought Duka was our most effective player even when I thought he held the ball a bit too long at times.

This team has some issues. They have a short week to get it figured out.

I believe so. Since he is a DP, he has special roster/salary rules. Not sure of the exacts, but I think I saw someone post that earlier this year in a different post game thread that had a different title but same vibe.

He was off tonight for sure, but he still had two of the better chances tonight. Both of his attempts to chip the keeper were heads up plays.

IF I'm right, then yes. Unfortunately.

Yes they were. But I think the body of work was overall sub par. I don't know what the issues are with him right now. He could be disgusted with the team and doesn't have "the juice", or he could be exhausted from all the stuff with his new baby. Regardless.....WHATEVER it is, he was our 4th most effective MF in my opinion overall tonight.

Excellent question. Probably better answered by TrueCrew.

My gut says "no". He walked on his obligations, not the other way around. But, it is MLS roster rules, so there might be a "Crew set" of rules and everyone else's.

Can we just close this and act like it never happened? Just open the RSL Pre Match poll for Wed? That would help I think.
